I asked this question over in Mission Builder but sometimes it takes a long time to get an answer so I'll ask it here too:

Thanks

Well that sure made it easy. I got it to work just fine. Thanks.
But then I found that its very hard, if not impossible, to knock a V-1 out of the sky using your wing:

In this game you should never try to tip the V-1 with your wings. Just use guns. However it is not impossible to tip it over, it is just extremely hard. I somehow managed to kill one on "hard" settings in coop... http://www.esnips.com/doc/1fd6...naMustang-V1kill-405 (http://www.esnips.com/doc/1fd6c6ce-a538-4916-9711-f020bb6454ca/KunaMustang-V1kill-405)
In fact, if you look at it closely, I never really "touched" V-1... I just put my wing very close in front of V-1's wing, that somehow screwed the V-1 flight path and it just uncontrollably fell from the sky.
All airframe "touches" regularly end up in breaking the structure, at least in my experience.

I read that somehwere. The RAF pilots would put thier wing in front of the V-1 wing and it would screw up the airflow and the bomb would roll over and go out of control. But I didnt think it would be accuratley modeled in this sim like that. Cool, I will have to try that then.

The explanation I heard is in a collision Il-2 shoots down the faster aircraft and only damages the slower one. It sounds like like V-1 ran into your plane.

I played a bit with it now... seems that this really works best if you run your interceptor at approx same or a bit higher speed that V-1... also you have to have a really steady hand in the final approach, it is probably practically undoable without at least a bit trim.
I trimmed the Spitfire on this track to be as steady as possible at approx 55% throttle as I find that this Spitfire is a bit faster that V-1 at this speed (I caught them in dive).

http://www.esnips.com/doc/5f9b...oorSpitIX-2xV1-409b1 (http://www.esnips.com/doc/5f9b7cc7-c1f0-4ec1-ad6d-0c9ec27ff458/DKoorSpitIX-2xV1-409b1)

...it will work only under v4.09b1m (latest version of the game). It's TRK file, I tried to make NTRK (online track) but for some reason (probably a lot of objects on map, so game recording gets screwed).

And BTW I never really saw anything quite like this, I tipped the first V-1 in its tail (small wing) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .

Here is same mission this one however works in any game version... also features Tempest instead of Spitfire as V-1 buster http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . Classic wingtip...

Tempest busting V-1's, track d/l (http://www.esnips.com/doc/f39a4b6c-46d4-45a7-8022-79d4090f684b/DKoorTemp-2xV1-409b)
