Hi all, I just picked up AEP and even though I have searched the forums, I cannot find help on this topic. I can't seem to start a single player campaign for the ME-110. I click on the "Generate" button and that is all it does click. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

I don't even have the ME-110(210) in my choices when starting a German campaign.

I have an offline bf-110 campaign in progress. Is this the a/c you're wanting to fly?

How did you install AEP?

BF-110 campain works for me. But the 3.7 blunderbuster gun is bent. LOL just a poke http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif at the odd aiming one must use with it.

Here's the way to the 110 Carreer.

Select "Pilot Career". If it doesn't show for the Bf 110G2 select "New", Germany- Career- Bf110- Unteroffizer and you on your way. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You can fly these missions wholy on your own ro you can use "Autopilot" (A key) for any portion of the missions. I've used "auto" for my 1st mission up to the 1 minute call so I could get screenshots of the interior of the 110. The wierd and cool thing was looking foreward at the Pilot. It looks as tho there are 2 sitting in the Pilots seat. One stares straight ahead and the one in front can be seen moving his head side to side checking his position in formation. I had a pic of it but it seems I've lost it. I'll make a screenshot in the next mission and post it here. Btw, I used the Tracker IR2 to make the shot as it allows you to sit in the gunner's seat and swivel around more to look towards the pilot I think. If you don't have a Tracker try it anyways and see what you come up with.

Steve,

I am looking for a "heavy-fighter/interceptor" offline campaign for Bf 110G-2, not so much like the stock AEP Bf 110 campaign which is mostly ground attack. Realize that by 1943, the Bf 110 was starting to get outclassed as a pure fighters with the new crop of Soviet fighters coming in service, but this is just a game after all ! A well piloted Bf 110 still can hold its own against many early war Soviet fighters up until La 5 and UFO P-39s.......

Starshoy has posted:

You can always change default plane specialisation by using classes*.dat file.

Check Dgen folder. classesRoA.dat is an example:

BF_109E4B FIGHTER
BF_109F4 FIGHTER
BF_109E7 LIGHT
BF_109G2 LIGHT

Classes:
GROUND GA only
TANK Anti-tank only
JABO GA + scramble + recon
LIGHT fighter missions + soft ground targets
ALL everything
FIGHTER pure fighter, no GA
--------------------

For you to get your fighter campaign, change

BF_109G2 LIGHT
to
BF_109G2 FIGHTER

in the classesRoA.dat, close and save. Start a new bf-110 career. This should give you what you want. Haven't tried it yet myself.

Here's a screenshot of the Me-110 Pilots head bug. You will see what looks like 2 heads, one stationary and the foreward head looking to the right.

There is only one Pilot in a Me-110. This makes it look like 2, one behind the other.

If some one has Oleg's email address for reporting bugs I'll send it to him also.

There is a default campaign for the Bf-110 if you look but you can put it in any German campaign you want by editing the PlanesDE*.dat files in the DGEN folder. The planesDeF.dat file would look like this: ( open in Notepad or Wordpad )

[Crimea41]
BF_109E4
BF_109E4B
BF_109E7
BF_109F2
BF_109F4

[Crimea42]
BF_109F4
BF_109E4
BF_109E4B
BF_109E7
BF_109F2

[Kuban42]
BF_109F4
BF_109G2
BF_109E7
BF_109F2

[Stalingrad]
BF_109G2
FW_190A4
BF_109E7
BF_109F4

[Kuban43]
FW_190A4
BF_109F4
BF_109G2
BF_110G2

[Prokhorovka]
BF_109G6
BF_109G2
FW_190A5
FW_190A4
BF_110G2

[Kubanlate43]
BF_109G6
BF_109G2
FW_190A5
FW_190A4
BF_110G2

Notice how I put the 110 in the sub-campaigns
from '43 onwards and it will now be selectable in the drop down choice menus when starting up a new campaign. You have to get the DGEN codename for each aircraft correct and it has to be on the correct side ( red or blue ) in order to work. Here are all the code names for AEP:
( Note: Some planes are non-flyable planes in this list )
( Second Note: Also some American planes will not work in Russian campaign such as the P-51s, P-38s. Also the He-162 will not work if edited into campaigns this way, nor will the Me-163 Komet.
The Ta-152 has it's own limited campaign by default but will not work if edited into these Dat files like this. )
