Hi,

we've got a hold of a large set of jpgs depicting original Kriegsmarine maps. We've postprocessed them (color values corrected, slight retouching, sharpened where appropriate) and converted them to pdf format so you can easily tile and print them using multiple sheets of paper. These maps are compressed using 7-Zip.

Head over to http://U-Boot.Realsimulation.com for more info and download.

np, was quite some work to postprocess them, but IMHO it was worth the efforts...

If ne1 has the missing KM maps (or any other KM) stuff, contact me at my site - I'd gladly host more vintage original stuff (No pure nazi propaganda though, I think we've seen enough of that...)

Wow! Those maps are incredible. (I really like the Skagerrak one!). I've downloaded a few (for my favourite patrol areas), and I'm impressed with the detail and quality.

Thanks so much for going to the effort of scanning them and making them publicly avaiable. I really appreciate it!

THANK YOU!!!

PS: The onlyvery minor thing was that I was confused at first on downloading the "Denmark" map. It is "Denmark Strait", rather than Denmark, so I spent a while staring at it bemused until I realised that the island was Iceland! (Just thought I'd mention it, in case you wanted to rename the file.)

PPS: Hopefully someone will find one for the AM34 area (my favourite http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

Would anyone have a link to the program you need to expand those chart files?

None of the one's I've got will recognise them.

Thanks.

You need 7-Zip, a free compression/decompression utility,

Love the maps. I have printed the entire KM Map at 100% zoom (multiple 8x11 sheets), taped them all together, and have made a very impressive wall map (....uh.....my wife doesn't share the same opinion. Wife ---> http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif). I then laminated the map so that I can draw on it with erasable markers, plotting my tonnage, routes, and a whole assortement of other goodies. Bump the emmersive factor up another notch. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Thanks big time for your efforts. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Flighthangar - do you have the North Sea? Which one is it?

Many thanks!

Unfortunately no dedicated north sea map...there must be tons of these KM maps in various scales, but I have only those I've posted...
