So, In the ending of Embers, Ezio gives the Epic Assassin Shao Jun a small box and says to only open it if "She loses her way"

So, What did he give her?

Yeah it could be the Masyaf keys.

A vibrator, a monacle and a quill. I've seen people say an apple of Eden, yes because something that size could fit into that tiny box. Idiots.

I would be shocked if it wasn't the Masyaf keys so that she learns from Altair's story if she "loses her way"

Because of the circumference of the Keys I doubt it's them as well.

Learns what? About an Apple of Eden that she obviously never bothers to collect? The Altair keys didn't teach anything to Ezio besides the location of another Apple- Shao Jun would learn even less.

Devoting her full life to the Assassin's and the importance of the Creed and the cooperation between the Assassin's unlike what happened between Altair and Abbas.

Basically to stay united.

I also just don't think the apple fits in that small box

Ezio probably learned more then the location of the apple, the masayaf keys had memories in them that Ezio would see when he held the Masayaf keys. Altair probably put those specific memories in them for a reason.

Ezio probably gave her the masyaf keys because Ezio talked about what he learned from the keys

The meaning of the Masyaf Keys was more or less to show Ezio that enough is enough. That he must put aside the hidden blade and settle down. It showed that Altair was devoted to the order from start to finish.

I'd like to think he handed her the keys, as they weren't too big. Remember, UbiWorkshop's animation was a bit weirder so they mightn't have realised how big the keys were intended to be.

Perhaps Ezio overwritten it with his own memories, we'll never know. It's probably either set the mood for ACIII (Remember, we've got that UbiGabe rumour that the Chinese Assassin's brought the order to America?) or we're going to hear something of Shao Jun in the future.

I was always wondering. Why did they continue AC in USA and not in China? Was there an explanation already? Im new member so...

You know I really hope they cover this in future games or possibly the movie. Because this has really been a cliff hanger.

I like the idea of Ezio passing on the seals, but the box certainly isn't too small to hold an apple. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb218/justinbatista12/eziobox_zps816c4680.png

It can't be the apple, since he locked it up under the coloseum.http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=X&tbo=d&biw=1366&bih=667&tbm=isch&tbnid=_zSfFH4FISM-BM:&imgrefurl=http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Apples_of_Eden&docid=6Uyr3AYBx6KCMM&imgurl=http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110403102205/assassinscreed/images/2/2e/Sixth_Apple.JPG&w=458&h=608&ei=aDIIUcaNH8Sl0QXLvoFY&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=533&sig=106916624668049041012&page=1&tbnh=164&tbnw=117&start=0&ndsp=13&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0&tx=95&ty=49

Going by that picture in this thread - The apple just wouldn't fit , It's just too big when held in Ezio & Cesare's hand compared to the box in ezio's hand in the picture .

I think the solution is a map of other assassin strongholds. Considering he knew he was in failing health, there would be no way he successfully mentor her.

He gives a precursor box . Source: http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Precursor_boxes

By November 1524, one Precursor box was in the possession of the retired Italian Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, in his villa in Tuscany. The Chinese Assassin, Shao Jun, who had traveled there seeking Ezio's advice on resolving the problems in her homeland, was given the box and told that it would aid her. Ezio stated that she should only open it if she were to lose her way.[5]

Upon returning to China, Shao Jun used the box as bait to lure Gao Feng, one of the Eight Tigers to her. She assassinated him but the box itself was taken by Yu Dayong. Eventually Shao reclaimed the box, assassinating Yu. Shao Jun entrusted the box to her shifu, Wang Yangming who took it to have someone help them study the box. However before he could do that Zhang Yong murdered him and took the box for the Templars, finally sending it out of China to other Templars.[6]
