Hi Oleg and team

a big wish to the end of the series IL2 for the patch 4.08 we still have:
A limiting option for the airplanes in the on-line Dogfight mode.

If someone one offers, on-line. a strong airplane type so it is used for 100% that is to be found thus f.e only Bf109G2 on-line.
This mostly disturbs the mission meaning, and also brings an imbalance into the play.
Thus we have thought like on an airplane and weapons Limit in the Dogfight could make it better.
In the Coop mode we have "only" certain airplane models in the choice, one would take over this for the Dogfight this would be the optimum solution for the airplane Limit.
Paired with weapon choice which cannot be changed by the player one would have what to himself many on-line player to wishes!
I hope this is not so much work and it could make it into .08.
It would be very nprotant for the Il2 community!

If I understand you correctly, as your argument seemed a bit broken to me, you want to be able to limit loadouts in dogfight maps as well as coops. Well, my friend, it is an excellent proposition. I just don't know if it's possible with the game engine. We'd have to ask Oleg.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

He wants to limit the plane count, too.

16 players, not all flying K-4. Only 4 K-4, 4 D-9, 8 A-8 and 8 G-6 or something similar. That would alos help bringing back the 262 in regular scenarios.

there used to be this mission in WC or WoW, I don't remember, that had this briefing:

"PLEASE don't use the Mk108 in the Bf-110, will boot" (or something like that)

Well, why include the 110 in the friggin planeset in the first place???<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

As it is now you can lock everything in COOPs (fuel & loadout) but nothing in dogfights.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

There are loads of reasons to do this. What if for the particular mission in question, that loadout is not historical? In a DF map, doesn't matter.

The PTO is another huge problem. All US planes end up with huge bomb loads. Loads that exceed the japanese "heavy" bombers. A couple fighters can take out a mass of taregts intended for proper bombers. Result, no bombers seen, just air quake with ground targets.

Due to the limitations of DF maps vs coop, any possible control given to the host/mission designers would improve gameplay.

Because early on the Bf 110 did not have the Mk 108, so it makes using it in early war scenarios more historically accurate. There are many similar weapons loadout issues with other aircraft as well, and it particularly effects early war missions.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Barring all of that....use Gennadich's Server Commander to restrict the loadouts for different aircraft including the Bf110. This has been in successful operation on the UK-Dedicated servers.

The Bf110G-2 is a great plane to have in any number of scenarios but with the MK108 it was ruining the situations. So...we just restricted that particular loadout. If the player does not change to another loadout then they get kicked for 2-3 minutes or so.

Works wonders!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
