I've just noticed a rather cool thing, you all know you can skip bomb on water but the other day i was on the rcaffb server with a 2X1000lbers on an f4u attacking a column i messed up my run coming in too shallow and too fast, i pulled into a tight turn to come back round and accidentally released my bombs as u do sometimes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif and as i watched in ground padlock view there they were quite happily bouncing along the ground i got about 3 skips off them b4 they went off, i've been trying to recreate it in qmb but haven't done it yet as soon as i do i'll post a track, has anyone else seen this?

It's because you have a time delay for your bombs.
When you drop your bombs, the time delay(I'm pretty sure) starts when the bomb hits the ground.
Hence they will bounce a little on the ground. BTW skip bombing on water only works if you set time delay to zero.

Not any more. Now you can skip bomb on water with a time delay. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've seen this too, or more accurately seen the results when my bombs went off far ahead of the intended target. I figured they had to be skipping along the ground. A result of coming in too fast and shallow I would guess. Coming in in a shallow dive would probably prevent it from happening; It seems to me that when I've noticed it was when I was screaming in level at under 50 meters, similar to a skip bombing attack against ships.

You can skip on roads and airbases. It was in a readme about a year ago.
