Hello,

Just wondered if there are any Russian speaking who could help me out with what the russian comms are. If you can write with the English Alphabet instead of cyrillic so I can understand a bit better.

For instance when re-engaging he goes:

"Pavtaric Ataku"

or when diving he goes:

"chto ti delaesh prekrati eta...oh nieeeet"

for the rest I dont really have an idea, for instance landing (dispitchu or something) or thanks for joining us.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

That "....o Nyeeeeeeet !!" phrase is the most hilarious in FB ! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif Especially how the voice actor says it. It sounds like he jumped from a plane w/out his parachute. Kudos to whoever the actor is.

Ivan what usually triggers that phrase ?

An equivalent one in the German voices that has me ROTFL, is before a plane breaks up and the guy lets out a wimpy "Eeeyaaaugh !"

I think the voices are all very well done despite the odd criticism...it add so much to the playing atmosphere....when I intercepted the German Radio Frequencies and heard the Control Tower it actually scared me so much i crashed...

I think its your rear-gunner that says it (on the field models or the 3M) when you dive so steeply you basically scare the hell out of him...

Flying a German campaign was a great way for me to brush up on my numbers in German.

The Russian tailgunnner phrases are still the best though. О неееееее!

Reminds me of my high school Russian Language classmate, Charlie Brown (that's right; I'm so old that some of my contemporaries were born before 'Peanuts'), who was known to say "Zhiizn takeeya" ("that's life") when his grades were announced...

Ever heard Russian with an Arizona accent?

One of the great Russian voices are when you`re hit, and one of the guys say, "bail out! BAIL OUT!" He says that last bail out with such force I nearly physical jump outta my chair to follow the command. Even though it`s in Russian - he must give himself a sore throat!

Also, some of the German talk speech sounds incredibly authentic to me. Have you listened to some of them when they get shot down? there`s one particular voice I actually feel a bit sorry for cos his screams literally distorts the microphone! You really get the feeling that there are terrified pilots going down with that bomber, struggling to get out before it`s too late!

The American and Brit voices just don`t quite match that level of panicky realism yet...

The Russian and German voice sets are awesome. Like others, I absolutely love the "ah nyeeeeet!!!" of the Sturmovik tail gunner. I just love making that guy puke...

The American and British voice sets are indeed sub-par. But if you install Battle over Britain, it has a new British voice set--a really good one, too. The emotion is great (a combination of panic and the British "stiff upper lip") and the accent and slang is convincing enough for this Yankee.
