I searched and found nothing so i thought i'd create a topic, so, how'd you find out about this game? A few months ago i was doing a P.E assignment at school and i had to get some pics, so i typed in fitness, and on one of the pages i found a picture of a guy on a horse which looked like Oblivion, i thought i'd have a look better when i got home, found the pic, stalked the forums for a bit, made a trailer about AC, then signed up, now here i am creating another useless topic, yay, http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

welll...here goes:

once upon a time, in a land deep, deep under, there was a little Grim Reaper called...Grimmy.

Grimmy was a good boy, but he knew nothing of the outside world. one day, he decided to venture above the surface, where the mortals/muggles/politically challenged dwelled.

he accidentaly on ppurpose, wandered into the politically challenged's urinating quarters...a grotesque task that they carried out daily...as he was wandering and inspecting the quarters, he heard two teenaged politically challenged talking.
"yo dude! wanna buy some crack??"
"no dude, i cant choose without democracy!"
"ok dude...you hear the latest news?"
"no dude, what is it??"
"i dunno dude...hoping you would tell me..."
"heard of the new game???-dude?"
"what dude?? assassins creed dude??"
yeah dude...seems likke the producer wants to pet the dude's horse..."
so down again wondered young Grimmy, but he could not hide his eagerness to find out how this producer would accomplish this task in this "game" they had been talking about...he was so interested, that he kept an eye on the politically challenged world incase any new news was released. the excitement was building inside him, he could not wait to pet this "horse"...and he lived sadly ever after...

yeah...that just about sums it up...

i learned about it in gamespy a year ago, but didnt join the forums untill recently...

Well i saw it on tv a couple of months ago, but thought it looked like a copy PoP T.T.T... because of the sneaking up behind people and stabbing them, but then a couple of weeks later i saw the trailer, with the hidden dagger and the jumping and the running, and from then on i loved it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I was looking for a project to work on, and everyone was telling me that this was the $hit. I saw some screenies and vids, also heard about the plot and got all excited about it.
Then I was selected to help them out.

well back at e3 06' some friends and I where on the lamb from whip cracking department head, who "wanted us there for technical aspects", abou a game that has since been released under our studio umbrella, whatever the hell that meant, i went to see me some booth babes, ignoring his pleas....i like to laugh at him a lot and say "sure thing" as sarcastically as possible as i openly defy him...something that to this day brings me large amounts of joy.

n/e ways, thats when we got a glance of the than, "project assassin's" which seemed very intriguing...

so time goes by, i waste time at work, been following this game along with some friends who are interested as we "work"...lol, i however have just recently reverted to my natural nerd state and forum registered, to get involved a bit with some of the community of gamers, as well as to do some "industry research' my favorite part of my job....AKA, play video games.

so im waiting for this game, im not so much a math/code guy as i am a story/drama/immersion/character type person/consult....so im expecting to be impressed with this game, its especially appealing because of the roots in historical fact, and as a whole, and as a singular artist, i would like to go that way in the future with my own endeavors.

I have a daughter on the way in November, as well as some paid time off,as well as being the one responsible for playing this game and breaking it down for my report, suffice to say between changing diapers and enjoying my new little genetic creation, im going to be plunging concealed daggers into mine enemies.

ahhh, can't wait.

I finished my computer class assignment early, so I went on Wiki and looked up Rayman. After reading about his history, I went on to Ubisoft, then to upcoming Ubisoft games. I was scrolling down the list and a game called Assassins Creed caught my eye. This was in fall of 2006 so there was relatively no information posted on Wiki. I was still interested so I looked up the official site and found the forums. I read topics and watched for a month or two without joining, then I came up with a multiplayer idea, so I joined posted it, and continued posting until today. The end.

07-25-2007, 04:45 PM
Yes, indeed Rayman is an interesting subject. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

the complexities of the rayman mythos and lore have consumed hours of my tedious studies......

i THINK (key word think), it was through searching about free running on the internet , someone posted a vid of the trailer for a game and the description he wrote was somthing like 'this is a trailer for a game and the character you play as can free run' i thought it looked like a retty gud game, it was either that, or i found it out on the ubisoft website, infact now i think about it , i think it was when i went on the ubisoft hompage.
