MAX theHitman here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I hope everybody had a great New Years day.

As most of you all know by now ScreenshotArt has now closed its doors to the public, but we IL-2 flight-sim fans have decided to start a brand new forum for everybody.
So everyone can continue posting and sharing their aviation Artworks/ Photographs/ Screenshots/ Skins/ Tutorials and so much more that you all used to see and love in the old forum.
I would like to invite you to visit us whenever you can. WWW.SCREENSHOTWORLD.COM (http://WWW.SCREENSHOTWORLD.COM)
All your friends and artists are still there.

...But wait a minute...
so I won´t leave you with nothing to look at,
I will post one of my latest aviation artworks from my Aviation Gallery for you all to enjoyhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
It was done using screenshots from the IL-2 game.

Thanks for the heads up, and also reply top my movie thread.

Can I make a small critique about the image you have posted?

If you look at the background, you have a diffuse light shining through fog, which will give such a scatter of light that shadows will be none-existent.

The lighting of the plane sis very bright, almost direct sunlight glow and the shadows are very sharp and prominent underneath the planes.

I'd suggest making the planes a lot duller and considerably softening the shadow underneath the plane, if not removing it totally.

Thanks for the pic though, but why had screenshotart closed?

Cheers, MP.

Also be aware that in a winter scene you will never have shadows from a sun directly overhead (unless you're on a high enough mountain--where it's always cold--at lower latitudes.) Nearer to sea level, the winter season's sun is always rather low in the sky, even at noon.

Good work there Max.
I particulary like the snow work on the further Pony http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif You might have added some cover for the canopy of the main one. I think that was usually done in snowy environments. Good work, again.

I remember browsing your webshots gallery some time ago, some really stunning edits there! I put most of my stuff to flickr not too long ago so I couldn't be arsed to sign up at webshots too for commenting..

HEy Orheim, thanks for mentioning SSP too, we are getting forgotten pretty quickly.. Glad you like it too Max. Wonder why you never actively popped in then :P

Hats off gents!
