Hey i didn't really looked to this title but now that i'm getting a new rig i'd like to know if my pc can play that cool game

If you were to buy a top rig right now it'd almost certainly be fine. If you were to wait a few weeks though, after Maddox Games has done a 'reveal' of SoW: BoB at E3 in Los Angeles, then you'd have some firmer information (perhaps) to go on about system requirements.

Oleg did say he won't be pitching the game at the top rigs available when he releases the game, but until the fat lady sings who knows for sure?

They are invited to the E3?

Think so - paticipant list. (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/46658) (Maddox games is under the aegis of 1C) Although I thought E3 was called something different this year. Anyway, as far as I know we'll probably start getting some up to date info on SoW at the end of the 2nd week of this month. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I remember Oleg saying that he will not even discuss system specs till August at the earliest. Might get some insight from E3 but only if your there in person is my guess.

HaVok's right, come to think of it. So there you go, get thee to E3 and ask the man himself. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess the best guess would be something in the Core 2 Duo CPU range right now, minimum 1GB of DDR memory (or DDR2 as is commonplace now), and I'd say a minimum of a current generation Radeon HD X2000 series or GeForce 8000 series mid or high end video card will probably do nicely. Given that Storm of War was originally expected last year and given that the system requirements would have been very high then but maybe not quite as bad now I think we'll see some very respectable requirements when its finally released. On the other hand IL-2 and FB were beasts when they first came out so I'm also expecting that ultra smooth high performance will either be really expensive or at least a year away after release.

If you can wait...new Core 2s with the codename "Penryn" are due by the end of Q3 or early Q4 and AMD's new Phenom processors (the K10 or "Barcelona" chips that you might have heard of are derived from these) should be available. There will probably be something new from nVidia shortly in the ultra high end and the prices on the mid range are dropping...there should be a price war soon between ATI and nVidia given that ATI's HD X2600 is going to be priced a fair bit cheaper than the GeForce 8600.

Not sure if he`s going to E3, last time i checked he wasnt planning...

Well that scuppers that plan then. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Additional to previous: If 'he's' not going to E3 then should we all (losely translated as me) stop wetting ourselves in anticipation of hearing some news viz SoW: BoB in the next few weeks? Eh? Or perchance perhaps?

I think their is going to be a price cut of AMD chips in a week or two.

I think I'm going to start buying parts for a computer up-grade in the coming months. And I think I read somewhere about the price cut.

might help you... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Does anyone think that a latest gen-video card is essential?

The game is not going to be direct x10.
