So I'm shooting down this spitfire and I knock it's wing off, milliseconds after the first wing separates, the spitfire rolls so violently that the good wing slaps the debris of the bad, knocking it off too. Awesome!

REALLY!

i thought wings and things disconnected from planes had no collision model, as i have ran right into debris and not been killed...

On-line one night I was behind a P-40, shooting it up in my Ki-43. As the pilot bailed, his canopy hit my propeller, stopping my engine. Things coming off other aircraft WILL do damage if they hit you.

Your red laser is highly overmodeled.

i've had my wing chopped off in a hurricane, from a dislodged HE-111 prop/engine.

hit it on a pass, it flew off with some of the engine and hit me.

The little loose stuff doesn't seem to have a collision model but the major components and crew definitely do. Avoid flying through disintegrating aircraft if possible http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I love it when I hit a plane in the wings but not enough to knock it off and next time it turns hard the wing comes off. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

I've never seen this happen. Really?! that's even cooler than the wing slap.

You've got another think coming then, my friend. Many times I've popped off a Messerschmitt's wing and cheered, only to see if fly through my beautiful Jug. It's quite funny to see another flyer disintgrate after flying through the fireball caused by a blown wing-mounted fuel tank, but when it happens to me, beware nearby windows.

Hm, not trying to spoil the fun, but the other wing could just as well be teared away by your shooting (as there are tracers passing very close to target).

First time it happened I was bouncing a Yak-3P.Online. He was doing 300-350km/h. I did a good pass with the FW-190A6. I put a lot of holes in his left wing, but it didn't come off. I pulled up above him, rolled inverted and came right back down for another shot. He saw me and pulled up hard. His left wing just snapped. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

During original IL2 online, I flew a La-5FN.

Dusk mission and I had a 190 inverted at the top of his loop, directly in front of me while I was climbing vertically. I pounded him with my 20mm and we changed places, him going down and gaining speed while I arced at the top of my loop. I looked "up" at him below me. The tracers from a massive furball were going on below us, deadly pearls of light.

As he started to pull out of his dive, the G's piled on, and he disintegrated. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

and lets not forget the famous Aireal IL-2 torpeedo bombing of an HE-111 in flight. lol

The old hands around will remember that one. lol

I will still drop VAP bomblets behind me in an il-2 to kill a pursuring 109. hey if it works!!!

Just plain cool. One time I killed a plane with my prop blade (it's in an old track that's uncompatible with the current PF http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif )

A while back I was flying the original IL2, and had my 109 shot out from under me. Anyway, I bail out and on my way down I turn in the chute so I can watch my plane make a smoking hole. Well, it hits the ground spreading smoke, dust and debris, then bounces up and crashes again about a hundred metres further away. Normally this is a non-event but the ac proceeded to do this over and over again until it bounced out of sight over the horizon. Hilarious.

Good Hunting,

The Funny thing is it was SPIINING and doing backflips and floating around with FULL realism on while i was watching it it felt like i was going to pee in my pants it was so funny! I couldent stop laughing until my brother rammed it with his TB3

I've seen the wing snap under high g after damage- quite a few times.

Usually the same, a wing hit (from above) in BnZ and then (under stress but not fire) you see the wing break without any AAA, collisions or other gunfire nearby.

I came up underneath a Beaufighter once in a 190 and gave it a good spray into its undercarriage.

To my suprise it began to shed pieces of lading gear. Even worse, the wheel came flying at me, bounced off my wing root and continued to spin away. The Beaufighter limped off with a windmilling prop and I limped home with a busted cannon and a damaged wing.

When i shoot a planes wing prop gear etc and it goes torwards me well it goes right threw me and i get no dammage... One time there was a tempest which had a half dead engine And The metal was off of the tail and the Engine You could see the WHOLE Engine not just little parts scraped off..And once there was a Bi-1 which got the tail part of the Chases torn all the way off you could see these big red pipes that when to the back of the plane mostlikely the engine....I do all tho remeber a guy realeasing paras and i hit them and died Is that what the paras are for?

It wasn't exactly cool, but I never thought it was possible. When flying an Il-2 and I get shot up, knowing I can't make it back to the base, I look around for a cool place to bail. I especially like bailing over towns so I can watch my guy run through the buildings when he lands. Sooooo, on this one mission I'm all shot up and looking for a place to bail. I spy a town just over the red lines. I bail just before it so my drift will carry me right into the center of town. The citizens will cheer, toasts will be made, the young maidens will offer their virginity to the People's Hero!!! Uh-uh. I hit the top of a solitary tree in the middle of the town. My guy goes limp. "Player Killed" flashes on the screen. I did not think that was possible.

I was cruising around our base at around 4000m when I spotted a single P39 about 1000m below me. I dove at him and in the last moment he saw me and did a sharp climbing turn, despite this I got some very good hits that caused the P39 to enter a spin. I was very low on fuel and I figured the P39 was finished anyway so I made a high speed dive for the base directly below me. I took about two minutes to complete my landing and come to a stop off the runway. All that was left for me to do was wait until the P39 crashed so I could get my kill. I switched to the external view of the P39 and it was spining and falling very slowly. At about 300m our P39 pilot realised it was futile to try and recover a spin in a badly damaged P39 so he bailed out. The problem was that he and his P39 were falling at the same speed so it hit his chute and killed him. While I was laughing at his fate I watched the P39 slowly spin to earth... right beside my newly spawned Fw190A5! Yep the resulting explosion took me out as well.

All I could do was laugh at the irony of the whole thing. The P39 pilot had a good laugh about it too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
