Power supply: 1 Squirrel/1 squirrel cage. Max CyclesPerMinute (approx)88 (1 cycle= 1 wheel revolution)
Processor: 12 cebus monkeys X 12 Remington typewriters, model 3B
Memory: 1 elephant, external/serial port
Video: 1 cebus monkey X 1 Etch-A-Sketch Classic
Audio: 1 Monk Parrot/1.0 sound.

I guess for BoB I'll need another squirrel, another elephant and 12 more monkeys at a minimum.

Squirrel? What model of squirrel? I have some outdated hamsters with two wheels and those babies are started to make some noise, I think I may have overclocked them wrong, getting rather hot inside. I'm looking to upgrade but not sure which way to go: squirrel, gerbil, faster hamster type or guinea pig.

Lucky I was to have a friend who burned all those CDs and patches onto floppy disks. Once I got over that hurdle it was a piece of cake!

I can run 4 fps in the black death track at 320x240.

I may think about an upgrade for BOB.

I've got an Asus something,

A pentium something chip,

Some memory probably a gig,

An old 9800 Pro,

Some other stuff including a cheap sound card,

Some crappy but good enough speakers,

and a real nice 21" monitor.

Are you using the ATI monkey, or Nvidia?

I hear the ATI monkey rox, and the Nvidia monkeys really suck on FPS.

You know you can get at least 10 extra fps by using sealed bearings on the squirrel cage right? ATI monkeys rule!
oh. P4 3gig processor, 2 gig Corsair ram, ATI x1600pro vid card, and a modem with a mind of its own.

The kids are from a house nearby;their heater broke-so I let them bask in my Cray's warmth,"Ain't I sweet...?" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Let me tell you,I dread the upgrade for BOB.I'm going to have to hire a crane,etc...That stuff adds up ya know.

Well for now I do use an ATI monkey but since Oleg seems to be programming for the nVidea monkey, I might have to switch over. I've heard the nVida monkey eats more than the ATI monkey though.

That survey is so detailed it's presumably the Steam application data-mining it's hosts?

Argh, don the tinfoil hats, run for the hills!

Administering a NO-DOZ right before connecting bumps it another 10fps easy. Just know the squirrel will crash to desktop when the juice runs out.

Sorry Beebop, I know you posted these screenshots and photos of your rig on our private forums, with strict instructions they should not be circulated, but I felt it was in the communities interest to post one of your non-photoshopped screenies:

Your missus posted this too, now I know it's only a 12th of your system:

Wonder if chasing the No Doze with a jolt cola & a Power Gel w/ caffeine would eek a few more fps? Gonna be a bummer when it crashes to desktop while I'm trying to land.

B16Enk;

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/B16Enk/monkey.jpg

Grrr! I told her not to send a pic of the OLD processor. The Remington 'B' model typewriter was my last upgrade. (It was made in 1932 BTW) The pictured model is one of my old "Celerytron" processors I had when I got my first computer. Thomas Alva Edison made it special for me.

Now you may not see a difference but the monkey is an upgrade too. The original (pictured) only had a 1 Byte cache but my new one has a 2 Byte cache, one used for the instruction at hand the second stored in his cheek for the next instruction. You'd be surprised how much faster he is.
