Circuit City has it on sale now. The usual deal is with "savings and rebates" of course but it is still a good deal. Im thinking of getting one as a spare in case my present stick goes out on me. This is about a 50% saving on a good product.

I have heard from a friend who is a techie at CCity that the time to buy LCD and plasma TVs is right after X-mas. Check out the Panasonics, LPs, and Samsungs, for quality and good pricing.

LOL. Let me know when you get to Peanut Butter broke. LOL Sorry Copper. Been there when economies tight and moneys not flowing. Suxxors.

That's a sweet price on the Saitek. I haven't got my nephew an X Mas gift yet. For his birthday a few months ago I got him Dogfights season one, and I gave him my old IL2/FB. He's 9 and loves them. (He's got a crappy old stick)

As a matter of fact his third grade class has a multi part assignment. I guess they're learning the principals of manufacturing. So his report is on the production of the Me 109. First part is history and planning, then finally making some sort of model of the 109. Can't wait to see how he does.

My brother called asking if I knew where I could find pictures along the Rhine and the Ardiennes so my nephew could map out the retreat of German soldiers. The kids frikken 9. Good for him.

My X-52 was $79.99 11 months ago in Vancouver.

$49.99 is a steal - remember 2 year warranty - which depending on opinion you may need.

Thanks for the tip.. just snatched one up. (wish it was the Pro tho!)..

I hope its more durable than my X-45.. The trigger keeps breaking on that (on my second, and its broken, so I reassigned to another button)

My wife got me one as an early x-mas gift yesterday. Awesome HOTAS. It's going to take some time to get used to after years with the Logitech ****-stick.

The only con with this stick is the tension. It seems looser then my old stick. But, it feels solid all around. Love the mini mouse in the throttle, very helpful since I don't have TrackIR.

Gee, we must have had the same Logikrap stick. Yes, the tension is noticably "wigglier" compared to the other thing.

Yup, I'm adjusting. I put pitch and rudder trim on the throttle rotarys. That's been the toughest thing to get used to, since before I was hitting keys on the keyboard. I just move it a touch now and I'm all over the place. I really like that two-stage trigger, particularly when flying planes that only have cannons. The only thing I haven't been able to do is program the little button that's on the smaller rotary. Still trying to figure out what to do with 2 hat switches. Ah, sure is nice to have options again. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

For the rotaries get a copy of il2sticks or il2 joy control, that will allow you to put a curve on the trim rotaries like you would pitch and roll ingame (BTW, most X-52 owners like pitch and roll at all 100%).

As fopr too losse, you can take those little foam rings that come on blank dvd or cd spindles and slit them, then pull the spring down and put them between the top of the spring and the bottom of the stick. That'll stiffen it up some.

*Slaps Forehead* Duh! I have JoyControl, I just didn't bother to use it since I didn't have this kind of functionality with the Logitech. Adjusted!

Yeah, I reset my pitch and roll to 100 for all and it's perfect now. Using the old settings didn't do much for me at all.

I'll have to try that suggestion with the CD rings. Thanks!

why do all these stores only deliver to the US..

I'm sure they'd get plenty of orders from overseas..

at $50 it is a real bargain....less than 25 GBP. which is cheaper than the Saitek aviator in the UK..

I miss out on so many bargains...like the MSFFB sticks at Gogamer..

My elder sister is married to an American and has been living in PA for over 30 years...but they refuse to accept anything being sent to them...even to post on to me and knowing I'll pay all the costs....too lazy to go to the nearest post office http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Hmmmm. The only rebate I can find at Circuit City on that stick is for $20 even though the stick's webpage says $50. The Saitek rebate link page from Circuit City is "not found". Bummer.

The offer for the $20 rebate ends on sales made today the 22nd.

It's possible that one of the rebates ended yesterday. We got two, one for $20, another for $30.

You know I was really active on this forum up to a few days ago when my work really picked up. Made me miss that nice double rebate. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Thanks for the info. I wasn't even focused on upgrading my evo, but for this price I couldn't resist. Snagged mine in time for it to be under the tree. Circuit City has a neat program where you order online and pick-up at a local store. Fast and easy, but you have to copy the rebate forms online (with the e-mail confirmation they send). Thanks again!
