As someone who has purchased about every flight sim since they appeared, you should be congratulated and thanked for Pacific Fighters. I think it's a great sim; thoroughly engaging and enjoyable. Until Pacific Fighters, my favorite sim was 1942 Pacific Air War. PF tops my list.

All the complainers on this sight should take stock in how far this genre has come, and be grateful anyone still pays attention to producing quality flight sims.

Keep it coming. I wish you great success.

exactly. how many developers after a game is released even care about the game. cfs2 is a prime example.

Agreed, Pf_fan. When I started to play this it reminded me of everything I loved (and missed) from P.A.W.

The physics and A.I are remarkable. Try taking down an aicraft with non-lethal damage and watch the A.I actually go through all the effort to successfully ditch.

The collision-models are very tight-feeling too. If you buzz a building, you might actually "scuff" across the roof with no damage. or clip just the tip of your wing off.

I've been hearing it's a worthwhile investment to buy the IL2:FB/AEP gold bundle. Opening a lot more scenarios up and giving you even more planese.

Also, the 3rd Partie missions and campaigns for FB are much more developed (over a year now).

And, the FB Gold box is now less expensive then the PF box.

I am not into Pacific much, but the times I do play a Pacific mission it tempts me to make a Dynamic Pacific campaign (Japanese--edit--USA too, need to be able to Choose side). PF really does give a "pacific" feel for me, and it is tempting to give up Eastern Front, at least for some time.

What I really want to do is someday make a 1940-1944 Japanese vs Russian campaign, a story never before possible to tell, until now. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
