I saw the preview on PC Sat. So has anybody seen it yet?

I personally haven't, but my best friend did. The final report, " It was pretty good with just the right amount of slow motion."

My friend said that it was a terrible movie. She was also supprised that it was a pg-13 movie because it had nudity.
I'm pretty sure that movies can show nudity and still get a PG rating. Movies can get away with anything these days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

I saw it yesterday with my girlfriend (well my fiance now.) It was pretty good, in my opinion. I wasn't sure how well Mark Wahlberg would play Max, but I thought he did a pretty good job. When he finds his wife and kid dead he looks exactly like Sam Lake in my opinion. The story isn't anything like the game though, it's way different, that was a dissapointment.

On the nudity comment: there was none. It showed side boob for like half a second.

Were the special effects as rampant and impressive as the previews imply?

I kept falling asleep during this movie. I tried to stay awake and watch it but it was so slow paced I could not keep my eyes open. Ill try to watch it again. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sleepzzz.gif

I heard that it wasn't very good. That really sucks, because I love both of the games. But yeah, my brother said that he fell asleep for around half an hour, and was still able to tell exactly what was going on when he woke up. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

That's probably because he's familiar with the story already.

The movie is really slow paced though, the game throws you into a whirlwind of events. I was pretty bored in the beginning as things developed. There wasn't as much special effects and action as I would have expected; some of the scenes in the movie almost look 3d though. The detail and depth of field is incredible.

He's actually never played either of the games. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I'm pretty nervous about seeing this one, its not often a good game translates into a good movie, would be a shame to see this one messed up but lets wait and see
