I also accomplished my 1st carrier landing (on the 1st try, I might add http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) with the trusty Wildcat. Yes, I've had pretty fair luck so far in carrier landings. I tried the first few in an SBD. Slammed into the stern of the Lex on the first one, caught the emergnecy wires about 2/3 of the way down the deck on the 2nd try, and then usually catch one of the first four wires from then on. With a ramp strike on about the 6th or 7th attempt. Not too bad so far.

The first thing I did in PF was to Land a J8a on a carrier.

A6M2-N in Single Mission Tulagi, then takeoffs with A6M2-21 from carrier in practice missions, then B-239 (since F2A-2 is only AI) against Ki-43 and Ki-43 against B-239 and F2A-2. Buffs rule!

Bent Wing B@ST*RD From Connecticut, as the Vought Corsair was affectionately known. My favorite plane, I had a quick mission in a F4UC against 16 Jap painted C-47s with unlimited ammo.

I saved the track as Duckhunt . . .

1e : B-25 , Love the cockpit , buht its not flying level as the He111 , harder to level bomb wiht it.
2e : A-20 , real groundatack plane , great clim rate and a good 190 killer.
3e : Buefighter great groundatack , good speed and as the A-20 a danger for all atacking fighters.
4e : the D3A1 Val , mmmmm nice dive bomber , fun to fly wiht , buht wihtout escorts its a danger to fly in to targets.
5e : the SBD Dauntless , weak plane buht great to atack targets wiht , again like the Val , go wiht escorts.
6e : the Zero N versian , love to play wiht Water lol
Well than i have try the rest off the aircrafts and for groundatack the Corsair have a good varible bomb/rocket load.
Good plane to use as target is unknown.

Favorit is for me the He111 and B-25.
