I understand that with this loader you can easily switch between 4.04 and 4.05 but I don't understand his instructions. Although the developer of this program speaks English a hundred times better than I speak French his instructions I can't figure out. Do you need two complete installs of Il-2, one with 4.04 and one with 4.05? Also could somebody please clarify what he means in the following quote:

"- Run IL2_Loader.exe
- Click right mouse in application
- Configure paths files Il2fb.exe, files404.sfs et files405.sfs

AUTORUN IL2FB
-----------------------------
Horizontal switch do configure version change without run IL2FB
This make easier load over HL.

If switch light on ( switch rocked left),
IL2FB run after you change version.
If switch light off ( switch rocked right),
IL2FB don't run after version change."

I'm sorry to be so dense but any help would be appreciated.

I find it easier to just go into Windows Explorer, find the game directory and rename the 'files.sfs' file from 4.05 to 'files.sfs.405' and have my copy of the 4.04 'files.sfs' file renamed back into place.

Thanks. That does sounds like a pretty easy solution.

Here: Switcher (http://www.sendspace.com/file/hgrks0) this is easier! Download and dump the 5 files in your Il2 Forgotten battles Main Folder. Pull a shortcut from the 404.Bat file and the 405.Bat file. There is a full set of instructions. Files contained in the Zip are:
404.Bat
405.Bat
files.404
files.405
