So i was cruising in very bad weather off the east coast of America under time compression. Before i knew i was under attack from a clemson and had no way to avoid what happened.

Hope you can see the pics, it is the middle of the night in terrible weather.

These are the pictures i managed to take just before the Clemson blew up spectacularly due to its ram and i got the screen off death. Meh, the whole event lasted only a few seconds, but it was good to watch.

That so sucks.

I feel for you and your crew.

If it is any condolences to your family, you died in a very cool way with awsome screen shots.

Tough luck there, had this happen to me in similar weather and was lucky to get away.

This is why I've been yelling about 'playing with the fish' and using my hydrophone to pick out targets and dangers - only coming up to catch a breath of Fresh Sea Air and down again...

'But the UBOats skippers manual says that you should not do that....' http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sleepzzz.gif

yup, been in same shoes before and now I really take note of the weather and advoid major defended area {mouth of english channel ect}. Ill sit at 20m a listent to hydraphones for a few hours when i am patroling my designated area instead of sitting uptop like an iceberg in zero visability. {hey but you can skirt to waters of the entire english channel in sever weather without being seen too}

I wish the watch officer would inform you of changing weather conditions, especially heavy fog moving in.

Speaking of which, with DX10 the next-gen video cards should be able to do volumetric fog. Imagine sailing towards a massive fog bank (instead of having it just appear around you like it does now).
