Hey gang,

Any of you guys have a set of the old "Pinks and Greens?" I've tracked down some nice jackets, but the pants in my size got away. I would think one could find some replicas or even some modern equivalent that would pass at a Saturday night USO dance.

I found THESE DUDES (http://www.wwiiimpressions.com/usarmydress.html) but I simply don't want to spend $145 on a pair of pants to use 2 or 3 times a year.

Alternative source anyone?

And yes, I know I am a nerd. However, my cute little fiancée is one heck of a swing dancer and is all about period costumes, so I have a nerd excuse.

Thanks!

Never bought a USAAF dress uniform from them but have been a past customer and WWII impressions makes great stuff, just a bit pricey. Try ebay, usually the real ones can be had for cheaper.

If you find yourself in line with a Fireman, a Cop, and an Indian Chief then you're in the wrong bar.

Since officers uniforms were often tailored and the pattern is a generic 1940s civilian-style trouser you might be able to source some appropriate cloth and get a pair made to measure for a decent price.
