A well known unsupported feature in IL-2 / FB is the ability to fly AI aircraft from the outside view. Since the availability of planes in the arena can be customized, users can either allow AI planes or completely forbid them with UQMG. The ability to allow certain planes lies with the Server, or Host Session owner. UQMG allows maximum flexibility for users who do not want AI planes in their Arena. You will notice that every Rule Set has two versions:

(A) = Allows Flyable and AI Planes

(F) = Allows only Flyable planes.

If you desire to start a session with only flyable planes, pick a Rule Set with the (F) label in it.

If you desire to have AI planes available in DF Arenas, pick a Rule Set with the (A) label in it.

Regardless of your preferences, you have ultimate control as to what planes are present in an arena. For those wanting to try something new, you will notice that there are Rule Sets that are established using a theme, such as Battle of Britain, and you will notice that only aircraft present in that conflict are present.

You could have two scenarios that are interesting in the Net 4 Channel Map:

For the hardcore player that does not accept AI planes, pick the (F) BoB set. The British will be able to fly Hurricane Mk.I's against flyable Bf-109E's, Ju-87B's and He-111s.

For the less hardcore players, you can get the AI and Flyable set, or (A) BoB set. A few players could get into Blenheims to do a Channel dash to bomb Germany while escorted by Hurricanes, while the opposing side escorts a few Ju-88's. It is all in good fun.

The point is, the opportunities are endless.

To fly the AI planes, if so desired, you should use the following procedures:

Play first with a flyable plane (for as little as a second)

Go back to arming screen and pick an AI plane.

Once you enter the arena, press F2 or F8 and then start flying.

If you wish to Fly Seaplanes, either have the planes spawn in Air, or pick the Large Summer Gulf of Finland Map. There are 4 hydroplane spawn points in that map.

If you wish to fly the G-11 Glider, pull the stick all the way back when you enter the arena to slow the plane down, otherwise the plane will accelerate until it explodes.

LOL, no problem, Mate. I been there myself, just yesterday. I was trying to figure out how to add my own music to the "In Flight" folder, and couldn't remember the format . . . I had done it before, but couldn't remember how. It was pointed out to me that the info I wanted was on page 10 of the PF manual http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
