hi
my boss s,father passed away awhile ago and while he cleaning out the attic he found his flight logs.the first part s were just training
practicing landings etc,enjoy.he flew a hampton.
grand total of training hrs 1940 466.5

sept11/40 ops-hamburg
rear gunner sick so bombed nordenway
island instead

he spent the rest of the war at stalag luft3.my
boss has the german documents and pow dog tags,pictures the day he went in and shortly after he came in may 45.he lost 45lbs.it was an amazing read.also has german docs of things he recieved may 42 1000 cigarettes,lol.cheers
oh,yeah the 1940 missions left england at 5:30
am,the 1941 flights were all evening or night flights.

one more time.anyone know what a tiger moth is?
it was one of the planes he trained,as well as an avro and blenhiem.cheers

once more in case anyone missed it

After it was refeuled i climbed in.With many manipulations the mechcanics started the turbines.I followed their actions with the greatest of interest.The first one started quite easily.the second caught fire.In no time the whole engine was on fire.Luckily as a fighter pilot i was used to getting quickly out of the cockpit.The fire was quickly put out.The second plane caused no trouble - Adolf Galland (first time in a ME262)
