maybe i should be more explanatory.

BTW cant play CD while using CD drive for the ACE CD.

what i think is we can delete in game music tracks and substitute somthing else. like .wav files. right?

anyone know how to make compilations? i can copy songs from CD collection to hard drive , just dont know how to combine into one file.

i thought in past i saw someone make a compilation of good music for this purpose.

As far as I know there is nothing illegal about copying CD you bought yourself into your harddrive.
And by the way: You absolutely have to try out flying to the sweet tunes of Nightwish, best thing to come out of Finland yet!

"I g¥r aftes m¸dte jeg en dreng der stod og gr¦d/ han kunne ikke finde hjem, og han var m¸rker¦d/ han sagde: "K¦re onkel Stuart kan du hj¦lpe mig?"/ Jeg trak min kniv og r¥bte: B˜H! og straks s¥ fandt han vej!"

A Swedish trance group called Trance Control (www.trancecontrol.com (http://www.trancecontrol.com)) does most of my battle music. Since MP3.com went down you have to get their stuff from their own website, which is Flash-heavy and requires free registration. It's worth it for some beautiful, fast, melodic music with a enough of an edge to fit well with engine noises and gunfire.

Blue Oyster Cult - Me 262

"Me-262 prince of turbojet, Junker's Jumo 004
Blasts from clustered R4M quartets in my snout
And see these English planes go burn
Now will you be my witness how red were the skies
When the fortresses flew, for the very last time
It was dark over Westphalia, in April of '45"

Glenn Miller's tunes have substituted for all the tracks in game. This reminds me of WW2F menus... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

It's easy to do if you have the tools. Try a shareware program called CDex. You can extract your favourite CD tracks to HD. Convert them to mono *.mp3 -the old Il-2 had a text file in its main directory explaining what the sampling rate had to be. Finally, attach a *.wav header to them -CDex can do it- and name them ru.wav, de.wav, intro. wav, etc., depending on where and when do you want them to sound. Copy them in the convenient path inside Il-2 folder, overwriting the existing ones -you may want to make a backup copy of them first.

And... voil ! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Personally, Ilike to use the background radio traffic files for my inflight music, it makes the game so much more real to me....

However if you want music might I suggest All of the Barney songs...Yes, Barney, the purple dinosaur.

The reason I suggest that is in roughly 27.3844 seconds, any adult having to listen to it will desperately want to kill anything and everything that destracts them from turning it off.....So your kill ratio should skyrocket as you slug your way through the enemy to land so you can turn off inflight music.

I rarely listen to music when playing games but i've on occasion listened to Iron Maidens Aces high and Tail Gunner when flying or Ride of the Valkeries.

For some reason listning to ACDC while flying P47's is fun as well.
