View Full Version : Be honest, who is experiencing a 'bleeding effect'?

Now that every AC game has been 100% completed including all DLC and extra content missions I can admit it...

...I walk down the street and look at the side of buildings to find the place I would start climbing and I walk past irritating people and work out how I could assassinate and make a clean escape.

Then so I don't lose a grip on reality and get myself into all sorts of trouble I go home instead and put on a big black hooded top and spin around like a nutcase in front of my mirror on my own.

I am a 27 year old man with an exciting career.
WTF?

Do you?

Anyway, every so often, I make this weird move where I kinda twist my pulse, like I'm pretending I have an hidden-blade in my left arm. Izzz c00l. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I recently came very close to attempting to climb the Palace of Westminster...

To be honest though, I do get the urge to climb every thing I see, ever since I beat AC1. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

It's probably for the best I don't live in any large European cities or the temptation to run across roof tops and climb things would be a little bit too much for me.....don't judge me....

lol I'm not extreme. There's a good chance I'd die if I tried to jump from a rooftop across another. I'm talking about high walls or little things you can vault over.....which btw Ubisoft should add!!!!

I often walk pass this building in my Hometown, and I'm always tempted to walk in, and ask if their part of the Brotherhood, as the symbol on thier building almost resembles the Assassin Brotherhood's Symbol xD

What bleeding affect? You mean I can't jump off the skyscraping I'm standing on into a bale of hay?! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

lol but in all seriousness, I do find myself planning out ways to climb a building...not that I'd actually do it, especially since I'm scare of heights but you know. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thankfully I'm going wall climbing this week so I get to take out some of my urges then. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I wouldn't admit this outside of the anonymity of the internet, but yes.

As everyone else, I'm tempted to climb certain buildings or figure out the best routes to do that. Especially when it's a large, medieval building.. Too many churches and castles in my hometown and the surrounding area for sure.

What else.. A couple of days (when absolutely no-one but me was out on the street in the middle of the night), I put on my hood and began to walk in that weird way Ezio does.. I feel ashamed.

Oh, and once there was a group of policemen and a guy with a broom next to them. I was so tempted to steal the broom and beat the guards with it.

On a positive side, thanks to AC I have a much higher interest in history before the 19th century then I used to have. Same for ancient buildings and visiting old cities.

I sometimes hear the whispers of the Animus in real life. No word of a lie.

Well, I once scaled our building to get to the 3rd floor apartment, because I forgot the keys in there;I sometimes use the techniques Ezio uses during my Fencing practice, and I used the hook and run against someone in a handball game, only it was without the hook.

Sooooo http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif I guess that makes most of you sound pretty normal..

i used to work in a warehouse and i used to climb and jump from 1 rack to another, also i foud myself locked out of my house a few times and needed to climb to the 2nd to enter through a window .. this predates AC though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif

I do think about ways to climb buildings and structures at times, which also has to do with the fact that I would like to try parkour (I live in a rather small city, though, and there aren't any parkour clubs or anything around...). Aside from that, I'm often reminded of some of Ezio's combat techniques during my martial arts training.

Sooooo I guess that makes most of you sound pretty normal..

I developed an unhealthy obsession for high buildings when i was depressed and felt like killing myself, i didnt just plan how to get to the top of them but also calculated the velocity factors upon decent to achieve maximum impact on the ground. and im 37yrs old...

The real bleeding effect of scaling tall buildings is a far more common event than most might think since 3quarters of the population at some stage in life have suicidle thoughts, and jumping of tall buildings is one of the most common methods of achieving that goal.

I wouldn't admit this outside of the anonymity of the internet, but yes.

I no longer think about jumping of tall buildings thanks to admitting i wanted to my doctor who placed me on 20mg of citalopram and i can assure you the real eagle vision is a scary place to be.

On a much more lighter note i sometimes think about stealth assassinating my wife http://media.ubi.com/us/forum_images/gf-glomp.gif

One of my friends was experiencing the bleeding effect pretty bad after playing just the first game, and soon found himself with a broken arm after falling from the third story of a building he attempted to climb. Although in his case, I suspect it was more of a "drinking effect".

Embarrassing as It is to admit, I do this sort of stuff all the time lol I use playing with my nephew as an excuse to jump on and off things like my furniture or pretend to beat him up with an ezio style free-hand move! And just today I was trying to run how Ezio runs, needless to say I felt like a right dork.

Hahahaha I get this all the time, except what Assassin M said. But I'm only 16 with a huge imagination so I sorta have an excuse.

Since ACII I've developed a habit of buying black hoodies and stretching the hood over time.... I swear I've started experiencing eagle vision (even when I visited the Vatican and saw the pope before I'd even played an AC game), animus whispers, and constantly looking out for pursuers.

Oh how I love my carried away mind.

Btw Assassin M, how did you do the hook and run move??? This would be so <STRIKE>sad</STRIKE> fun to learn.

We all experience it.
I look at the side of a building or a wall and think 'That would be good to climb' or 'Ah, too smooth, no hand holes'.

I look at a police man and think how I could kill him quickly, and then hide the body within my surroundings.

I use a butter knife like a hidden blade a bit too often in cooking at school (I got a detention for 'threatening other people's safety')

Everyone time someone mentions the word 'Italy', 'Renaissance', 'Blade' and even 'Hood' I immediately flash to a vision of Ezio.

I have dreams of taking over a Templar Den.
I even had a nightmare inwhich a stalker came up behind me with the music, and I jumped up awake a bit too scared..

I'm paranoid of anyone walking up behind me.
If I see anyone on a rooftop, I picture an assassination.

I stood on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower and imagined I had Eagle Vision, the civilians down bellow in blue and the police men and cars in red.

I'm slightly addicted.

I won't lie, I honestly try my best to find footholds and grips on buildings walls to see if I could climb them.

My town is one of those towns that was built along a central road, so all the buildings are lined up along that road and they're all those 1900-1960 kind of buildings... very old and antique looking. Anyway, it looks like it would be fun to run along it.

I am 18 years old though, and I would never think to do anything you see in AC... but I will admit it's hard NOT to look for footholds and stuff.

Sorry to say this but I think a fair few of you have mental issues, eagle vision and whispers?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif I've completed every AC game, and today have just got 100% sync on everything, apparently I've played on AC Revelations for 67 hours and haven't experienced any "bleeding effect", because it doesn't exist.

When I saw this picture, I didn't really pay attention to how to climb the buildings. However, I've played a lot of the multiplayer and so part of me thought the traffic light was a roofing pursuer of death that I should lure down to the ground.
