WELCOME TO THE FORUMS...

The IL2 and Hurricane are very stable, just ask any queries here and bar the odd stupid post such as above (first reply), 99% of people will fall over backwards to help you out

Two sites I would recommend for you are

http://www.airwarfare.com/guides.htm

and

http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/il2guide/maps.htm (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/%7Echapman/il2guide/maps.htm)

its not easy to start with, but persevere as it will soon rock and you will look back with satisfaction and glee as to how far you have progressed in a short time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

A good resource is http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/il2_fb.htm

I know that if you lower your joystick settings, you will have an easier time with the control, but you will lack the instant response some planes can take advantage of. Use a gradual increase from 0 to 80 in equal increments.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

In the game go to HardwareSetup+Input and change the settings for pitch to :
1 2 3 5 10 20 30 50 75 100
Be easy on over-controlling - stay near the center of the stick throw.
You have to trim the plane remove stick forces and center the ball.

Practice shooting down Storches to learn gunnery.

The P-40M is a good beginner's plane to learn to fly.
For learning take-offs and landings try the P-39N1 because tail-draggers are have more problems with torque.

Wait to go online until you can take off, land and have some gunnery skills or it'll be a frustrating experience.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

IMO these are the best fighters for a total newcomer to the sim. The secret to not stalling is to pay attention to the plane and be patient. This sim is not only played but it must be learned. Time is your friend. Yiou cant yank and bank with this. Pay attention to the plane, the ball and your instrumnts...

Hit the Sturmovik Essentials link in my sig. Bookmark Airwrfare.. it is a one stop resource for all things flight sim.

Lastly... I wasnt going to comment on this.. but... notice how with just a little bit more respect.... you acctually get more constructive and helpful rermarks around here.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
