Glad to hear you're hooked already. It's great that IL2 has settings and options that make it easy to get into.
The default campaigns are okay, but in my opinion you should get cracking on the user-made ones. They include suitable paintschemes, back-stories, characters, and often some great historical info.

What planes do you like flying? Let us know and we'll recommend some campaigns for you.

In the meantime, here is a link to the best IL2 mission/campaign site around, Mission4Today.
This is the campaigns section of the website.
Campaigns section (http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&c=2)

Top 20 list. (http://mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads) This is the top 20 downloads list.
It includes utilities, movies, and campaigns(although this doesn't necessarily mean they are the best, just they appeal to lots of people for various reasons).

If you have any questions about installation etc, just ask here or in the mission builders forum.

Nice to have you with us.
