Must be putting up the Developers Blog that is due to begin tomorrow.

You gotta love a developer that can meet it's own deadlines. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

...and one that by doing so encourages others to meet theirs.

What deadlines? The we can't promise and say maybe deadlines?

I was referring to the 25th September blog deadline at RoF. They've had a banner up for about a month saying that is when the dev-blog opens. Looks like it's on schedule. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

Excellent. Godspeed to them. I can smell the castor oil and exhaust fumes already.

Do I take it that ROF is only going to be an American v German scenario ?

Hold on a second! Rise of Flight is a WW1 Flanders type sim, yes? If that's the case, they have got to include the RFC and the French Air Force as well! The Yanks only turned up at the last minute!!

I can clearly see more... for instance note Sopwith Triplane, the plane used in English squadrons by British pilots, also Sopwith Camel one of the best all around WW1 fighters also used mainly by Englanders http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif , S.P.A.D. XIII was used by American squadrons as well as French ones... these are already in http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif .

However I hope that we will get some gems like S.E.5 (scout experimental and my big personal fav), Sopwith Scout (Pup), Bristol F2B (awesome two-seater, perhaps best two seater of the war, was used as fighter too with much success!) and last but not least - Nieuport, legendary French scout.
Also for German side Albatros D.III/V is a must, besides Fokker Dr.I/D.VII , Pfalz scouts would be nice too... and few two seaters... let's say D.F.W. C.V and legendary Gotha heavy bomberhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif.
For early war legendary Fokker E.I/II/III/IV, perhaps even the unsuccessful D.II could be useful, then British pushers D.H.2/4, French Farman etc. etc...

Seafire (http://www.riseofflight.com/sketch.html)...do I detect your handiwork in one or two of these illustrations?

If it's like KoTS on the Amiga, but without the spawning aircraft, then I'll be delighted! The way Fokker Eindekkers used to just appear from nowhere used to really annoy me. At the same time, there are too many sims where you know you're safe until you get over a target area. What we need are sims where enemies can pop up anywhere like in real life, without spawning right on top of you like they used to do in KoTS.
