Do YOU have a problem with those pesky C2's??
Well look no further just call: 555-FLOWER and WE'LL get THEM right to the bottom of YOUR problem...
When having that pesky C2 just bopping around on the surface and igroring all your torpedoes but not going anywhere. The first thing you do is alert your friendly and helpfull lokal Flower-corvette/Destroyer to the scene.

The second thing you do is you excite him by showing him something he really wants....

He'll be so excited that he just can't stop himself from helping you with your problem...

And so the result is a semi quick and satisfactory solution for allmost all parts involved....or atleast allmost you....

This has been an ad from your friendly Day Officer, pleace don't hesitate our opperators are stading by for your call now.....

(did not get kill cred. even though I did set a torp in him to stop him(and yes I know it's a C3 but that would kinda loose the joke....)and got a weee bit o dammage before diving but me and my advisor were rolling on the floor from laughter so it was worth it to see if we could get the "help")

Even tried to sucker him with sonardecoy but he just wouldn't take the bait....gonna try again later new tactic....

Yes, strategic, but with this you can see that they have to fix the IA.

But I will try this.

lol! nice

the AI is kinda stupid but realistic too.

one time..In the flak gun tutorial..

I spent ages trying to shoot the small attack planes who was in formation with another. his engine got on fire but he was still flying...

one more round across the sky and he careened onto his wingman..and BHAM!! nice firework display. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Instead of a C2, I used a disabled escort http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif but I have no pics. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Here is the story:
I attacked a convoy and one humming torp disabled the leader escort, it didn't sink, just stayed on surface without moving.
Sank some cargos but after few minutes all other 3 escorts came after me. The convoy continued.

I tried to escape but the 3 escorts had me detected and kept chasing me. I deployed decoys and went deep (180Mts), they seemed to work for a little while, but somehow there was always one escort that could detect my escape attempt.
After an hour or so (real time), I ran out of decoys and I had all 3 escorts chasing me all over.
Then, tired of being Depth charged, I decided to go back and locate myself under the disabled escort.
The idea worked, I wasn't getting Depth charged anymore and the 3 escorts were just moving in circle around the disabled escort.
After 2 hours (accelereted time) I realized that the 3 escorts won't give up, so I decided a risky manouver.

I was at 180mts right under the disabled escort and I ordered periscope depth, but the sub won't move. I wanted to surface going straight up so I ordered blow ballats without knowing what exactly was going to happen http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

When I was getting close to periscope depth I ordered periscope depth again and the sub seemed to stop surfacing, so I thought I got it. I raised the periscoped, and fired a torpedo to one of the escort going in circle.

All of the sudden I hear, "we are taking damage", I went to the external view and I saw my deck out of the water. The sub was still surfacing right under the disabled escort and the escorts started firing at me. I ordered crash dive.
Then I saw something amazing... The 3 escorts kept firing but not at me, they fired at the disabled escort as it was answering the fire with both guns to the attacking escorts.
The disabled escort finally exploded, but not before damaging two escort and my torpedo destroyed the third one.

The two now damaged escorts didn't follow me and left. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif
