Guys, since a few weeks, i've noticed i've become a lousy gamer.... i fly like a wet towel, can't hit anything anymore and the harder i press it, the worse things get...
I just got shot down 8 times in a row by AI Planes set to Average level in il2/FB (no aces pack or pf installed) and i feel i got really owned..

on the other hand, sometimes, i get angry or just have the mood to shoot and i need absolutely nothing to hit targets in my sight - i mean 1 shot/burst kills etc, but this is quite a rare occasion...

Anything i can do about such a thing?? My squad is already wondering what is up with me as i used to be good, now i get shot up, even by rookies.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

the cycle of mastery:

At first you think you suck: and you do.

Latter you think your good: but you still suck.

Latter you think you suck again: but your just starting to get good.

I`ve heard it said that when a person`s skill suddenly takes a dive for no apparent reason then he`s actually about to progress on to the next level of advancement.

You could be actually about to get better!

Sorry, but your sig (though nice) slightly bugs me....Why would Robin Hood fly the P51? I think he would at least fly a British aircraft! Probably a Hurricane. Oh well...

heheh, no hard feelings, but i'm the type of guy who likes the lesser known planes better, i'm not fond of the 'stang, but i can hold my own pretty good in p40's..

and today i got my 6 kicked pretty hard in those too while i hit only air.. '

It's NOT my convergence, it's my timing, always too early or too late...you might know what i mean, always off just a milisecond..

and it's my way of flying, for some reason i'm unable to even shake an average skilled AI pilot from my 6..

Seafire might be right, but i still gotto see it myself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm a **** pilot who flies **** planes. But, I've noticed the AI in PF is better. I find it harder to shake an enemy now. I can..... but it's harder.

Maybe I'm on that plateau where I will get better.....or..... maybe not.

Robert

the getting worse before getting better is pretty common

think of it this way .. you are unlearning some bad habits so you can pick up some good ones

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Nice one...you have put it really good...i just hope you guys are correct on this, as i hate it to lose from human pilots, and even more from the AI..
Maybe i should relax more instead of pressing myself to win, ease on the stick and keep my brains to the matter...

btw: do you guys get shot by lower level AI pilots? when i read the boards it seems almost everyone is some kind of super ace..
I happen to get downed really often, by everyone i encounter, not just ai..

But, why must I take a dive in such deep waters? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif
