Thanks! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

People seem to really be liking these drivers.

When I ran DXDIAG I got the message that Direct3D and AGP accelleration are not available.
Is this something to worry about ?

But of course you used "DriverCleaner" to uninstall previous driver settings? No problems here with new drivers.

Yes I did. Tried to install them again (also running drivercleaner before), same result.

Sounds like you may need to install the 4in1 drivers. I'm no expert but you might check in the community help section.

I had that before too.

I think I must have done something wrong. Before installing them I made a Ghost image and restored from it in the meantime. Then I uninstalled the "old" drivers again (also using driver cleaner) and installed the 76.41's again. Now verything is o.k.

glad you got it fixed rijnton44 - a very valuable lesson on how important it is to have a good backup - can save you a HUGE amount of grief. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I've been running these for a while and they are definitely worth the dowload. Grabbed a couple FPS and took care of some problems I was having getting booted from other prgrams.

My framerates were not noticably influenced but I had the impression that I got more stutters.

about the temp bug, is it a false alarm bug, which it would report a temp higher than the actual value, or it indeed is causing my card to overheat?

I am using 7184.... the performance is worse than the previous version... and the temp is at least 8 degree higher.

Rijnton,

I've tried them, but saw Nvidia still has'nt fixed the stutter bug when using perfect settings and water=3. I believe 71.25 are still the best for perfect with water=3.

My cent...

There is a long discussion going on Guru3D forums on this subject. Some say it's a real temperature increase, others say it's only a report fault. I don't know. There is a temporary solution, when you use a tool like e.g. Coolbits. Set 2D core speed to 401MHz, test changes and cancel (if you don't want to keep the changes). You will see the idle temperature drop. When you reboot however all is reset and you will have to do it all over again. What stroke me is that the idle temp drops gradually, what makes me think the temp increase is real.
