Current announcement list 32 new flyable AC in "46"...has anyone seen a list? Are most of these variations of what we have now? I've only seen a few on the RRG site... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

Is that in the '46 add-on, or in the DVD that contains everything up to '46? I should think it's the DVD that contains everything up to '46

By the way, nice to see you posting again, James

Khalkin-Gol (online)

6 historical
3 "what if"

The ice on the cake:

-almost 1000 paintschemes
-X-4 air to air missiles
-a whole extra DVD with BoB preview and making of
-84 new ground objects (including trenches, new tanks etc.)
- 450 pages planeguide

And to make it a round package the whole IL-2 series comes along with it, then simultating a number of 229 flyable aircraft from 1936-1946, giving us the possibility to create almost every scenario thinkable in this decade."

I guess the 32 counts in Peshka.

Don't forget the Norway and new desert maps too, they are shown as being included in the new ''46' DVD over at SimHQ.

That would be to cool to imagine, but the way I got it was that they'll come in the last free patch after the addnons?!
Did I miss something?

Sorry, I meant Airwarfare! I'm only going by this article, so I'm not 100 percent certain:

From the main site page of this very forum:

"STURMOVIK‚"ěĘ: 1946 offers new campaigns, missions and aircraft as well as many exclusive features...
...New Maps ‚‚ā¨" Large new historical maps of the Kiev region, a Manchuria region map focusing on the border between the USSR, China and Japanese-occupied Korea, a large bonus Burma map and an online Khalkin Gol / Nomonhan map."

I don't know where those last two regions are.

I see.
Well, as I said it would be too cool to imagine if you were right; but when Ian introduced the new desert map it was stated that it would be released in "4.08" after christmas.

The Oleg interview concludes with the question of how many flyables there will be. His response is thirty-two:

- Six from "Pe-2." (And there are six variants of the Pe-2 and Pe-3).

- Eight from "Sturms Over Manchuria." The list above accounts for these; the six Japanese planes under Blue, and the A-20 and IL-10 under Red.

- Eighteen from "46." The list above only has 17 however, leading to speculation of what the last flyable is. Is it a variant of one of the already named, or is it an unadvertised bonus? What if the Tu-4 was added as a flyable but kept hush-hush to keep Boeing's lawyers from misinterpreting the screenshots?

10-11-2006, 03:12 PM
My god your're right!
Never counted them.........

10-11-2006, 03:20 PM
It makes the Pe-2 add on look completely lightweight.

While the late-war exotics will be fun, I'd be happier to have the Kawanishi N1K2. Some "turn and burn" fights over Mongolia would be a blast.

The "George" would be a much-needed addition, too.

Didn't see a B-24 or B-17....ahhhh well.....roll on 4.07 or 4.08.....one has to live in hope!

Maybe Oleg could get his guys to finish the planes we already have rather than yet more flyables that are bound to be whinged about (bugs, flight models, roll rate, uber guns...UFO, etc....).

Just finish the P-47 and other planes Oleg...please!

10-11-2006, 08:09 PM
There will never be a flyable B-17 or 24, Mystic, sorry to break the news so abrubtly again. I'm hoping for some good AVG battles!

Maybe they just slid the Fokker or the CW-21 in there since those were supposedly done?

I've actually seen in game screens of the Fokker in Finnish markings...

Speaks volumes that there isn't a single appearance by anything US or UK in there.

No aircraft, no maps where they operated, no campaigns, no missions, nothing.

Edit: Oh, we almost forgot the A-20C. The variant of a plane we already have that only got included because the VVS Lend-Leased the living snot out of it. No SB2C Vindicator, no Sea Hurricane, no ships, no carrier catapults, no PTO maps. They don't even have the freaking Arizona, Nevada, or New Mexico in Pearl Harbor, and it's been two years.
