The deck crew seem to be holding air instead of Binoculars. Also the game slows down. I have a P4 3 gig processor and 1 gig dual channel ram. Video card is intel D865g on board video.

Think it has something to do with you on-board video. What mobo do you run?

Tgdillon1, I believe your onboard graphics is the cause. Usually onboard graphics are not used for game play as they are just the basic kind for online viewing. A good graphics card is always best IMHO.

Find a GF FX card(5600 and up) with 256mb of memory and you'll see a big difference. Try searching pricewatch.com and you can find one for less than a hundred dollars...usually. Or even EBay.

Score one for marketing. A 3 gig processor with onboard video. Sad, just sad.

I just ordered a "eVGA NVIDIA e-GeForce FX 5500 256 MB, 128 bit DDR AGP 8X VGA/DVI/TV Video Card (256-A8-N313-LX)". What do you think?

Just my two cents!

That card isn't very good. You'd be better getting something faster. I don't know what funds you have available but if you want to stay with Nvidia get a 6600 GT, or even a straight 6600 card. If money is no object you might want to take a look at the 6800.

Otherwise if your budget is limited you would be better off getting a quality ATI card instead of the FX 5500. You can pick up ATI 9000 series cards quite cheaply now. I have a 9800 Pro at the moment and it works great with SH III.

On another issue if you buy Nvidia chipsets I wouldn't go with eVGA because they suck badly, in terms of warranty and general build quality. In my experience from building many PC's its better to buy from MSI or BFG.
