Just wondering if anyone has ever been so mad with this game that they have thrown thier joystick or smashed a keyboard or kicked the cat.
Favoutite scenarios have got to be
Learning to land
Learning to take off
Kill stealing
Game stutters as you close for the kill only for the bandit to dissapear when resumes or you are too close and crash into him
All time favourite- returning from a 40 min 5 kill sortie, instruments shot up and engine rough, nurse it back and enter landing run, get permission to land when some stupid AI knicker decides he can land under me, I dont see him so total both aircraft and end up with a friendly kill http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

If I had a cat it would be a fast cat http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Once when I got Vulched for about the fith time in a row and saw the sixth one coming but my switch usualy flips in a more vocal manner rather than physical expression. I swear pretty damn well too and not just in English. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I usually do a very nice mimic stuff but sometimes I just stand there in front of the screen and ask myself how could this have happened.

edit bithttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifont get in a rage about FB. I find it very calming. Not even kill stealing bothers me.

You have a 105 km route to the target in a I-185, you must control the plane manually during the first stint, you remain with only two aircraft (the other six are already crashed on the hills), and then you decide that you've got enough and switch to autopilot halfway; then the stupid AI boy thinks you want to kill yourself, and aims the nose of the plane to the next hill on the path.......three reflies in a row!!!

I haven't even a light remembrance of the next five minutes... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The only thing I've ever done is to toss my headset occassionally, but after spending $200 on a new AKG headset I've ceased that behavior.

I have got up and walked away for a day or two. But not usually from the game so to speak but how other's were playing without honor. A team mate will make me madder than anything.

But we have this squady who has built like 3 machines now because of his rage. But not because of the game but because of his incompentance and a Machine builder or lack of ability to keep out the bugs from it. hehehehe

well, i once took the joystick (an 8$ Geniushttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif ), and hit my computer case with it.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif (repeatedly)
That was due to a huge stutter, and the fact that caught me in a preety nervous stage, when i was flying only to get a little relaxed !!!!! Anyway, after discovvering that my HHD got some bad sectors after th at, going to the need to change it, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif i started to be a little more temperate....
Also, one of my friends tooked his joystick and smashed it on the wall....http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif now he is planning to throw his actual joystick out the window... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif
To answer the upcomig question..... no, not all romanians are like that.....maybe only just about half.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

I think the most annoying but acceptable scenario is when you're dogfighting online and you line up a guy in the gunsight perfectly and then the map changes! Not too annoying but it's annoying none the less. I find it more annoying when you're in a bomber and ready to release your load.

I just swear at my son (Who sits at a computer next to mine in our gameroom) Now that my neice is living with us and also has a computer on the LAN in our gameroom, I will probably start swearing at her too. (Especially if she turns on that damned web cam again when I am flying!) Those things eat up some bandwidth!

My wife is smart, she uses a wireless card with her laptop from another room when she wants to get on the internet. She learned of my ire long ago...

Well one time I got so mad I picked up my computer and tossed it out the window. I felt much better after getting that out of my system. I had to attend anger management for three months though, every weekend.

I don't remember what did it, but I tried to rip the stick out of the base of my MS precision 2 once. I am 6'2" tall and weigh 215# and I gave it my all. Maybe more than once.

Now I know Bill Gates and MS are evil soul-sucking entities that every sane man should work toward eliminating from the planet earth, but they did, surely inadvertently, produce this stick that I purchased in 2001 and have not been able to wear out.

So it is actually pro-environment to have something that never wears out. I will not buy another stick until this is no longer servicable. This preserves natural resources, keeps me from being a mindless consumer, and keeps money from going to MS or any other corporate entity as long as the stick lasts. ANd when it does wear out someday I will look for a stick by a small independent manufacturer, or look into making my own perhaps with some wire and pots? S!

I flew for the first time in 2 months last night because last time I flew I got so angry that I decided that I should take a break if something like a game got me that mad. Last night I was calm as a rock...nothing bothered me and it was weird. I got a couple kills in a mustang and flew it back to base after getting hit by AA with my windshield covered in oil. Wheels are down, hovering above runway - can't see a darned thing. Someone then shot my wing off after a 30 minute sortie. Not only was I not annoyed, it got me re-addicted to FB. I'm baaaack...

I've shot down five vulchers from the ground - once by pivoting my 190 - which had it's wing blown off on the tarmac - like a tank. twice by doing the same in and IL2 and once in a p39 during takeoff - perfect 37mm round right in the grill. very satisfying.

Once, the fan on the power pack quit. I stuck a screwdriver through the grille and tried to spin the fan. The screwdriver hit the power pack and shorted the entire system out. I unplugged all of the wires and took the computer to the top of the stairs and kicked it down the stairs. I then went downstairs and picked the case up and threw it outside and left it on the sidewalk. Amazingly, the next mornimg it was still there. I threw it, literally, into the back of my truck and took it to my buddy, the computer builder. He looked at it, picked it up and shook it (it was all loose parts inside), looked at me, shook his head and never said a word. Three days later he called and said my new computer was ready to be picked up, price tag $800.

Probably the worst I've ever done was caused by Win98, not the game. After yet again finding my system too messed up to even run an email client with a resemblance of stability I fdisked & formatted in preparation for a Windows re-install, only to realise I'd forgotten to back up all my missions and skins (fortunately I'd remember some of the important real life stuff).

I usually just yell Dammit! and pound my fist on the desk. I have made my 19 inch CRT monitor jump around a few times that way.

The usual cause is AI rear gunners clipping me or my engine from ludicrously long ranges and angles of deflection, although the occasional lockup or collision at the end of a long multikill sortie is also significant provocation.

I have yet to toss a computer or joystick in a fit of rage (my thrifty Scottish granny would've been so proud...), though the temptation is sometimes overwhelming. Unfortunately, my luck would have me killing some innocent soul if I tossed anything out the window, so the Archangel option is out.

cheers

About a 99% probability you would have only had to replace the power supply.
P.S. - Next time you stick a screw driver in a place like that to test a fan, unplug it first!!!

I had to do some minor furniture reparations last spring when after commiting 2 years of my life to this sim I learned that a newbee who starts shooting from 2 kms away is still better than me.

After that I made a 3 months break from the game and not frequent the DF servers anymore. I fell much happier now.
