View Full Version : View Reversed? Help!

When i use the mouse to look around in the cockput it performs correctly now. But when i press F2 for external view...the mouse view is reversed. Left is Right, top is down...etc. Does anyone know how to fix it like something i have to change in the confi file? I see a couple things in the file that might effect it like


F4 MouseRight=Zmove
F5 MouseRight=Amove
F6 MouseRight=Tmove
F7 MouseRight=Kmove

That's odd.

Do you use any 3rd party programs for mouse control?

The invert part of [rts_mouse] set to 1 would probably do just that...invert mouse axis.

But then pit panning would be 'incorrect' of course. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The [MouseXYZ] section of the conf.ini refers to mouseactions in the Full Mission Builder, IIRC.

Edit: Setting invert to 1 only inverts the y axis.

Try setting the sensitivity lines to a negative value, this affects mouse control in the menus aswell though.

no i didnt install any mods. It's just a clean install of FB+AEP+PF. I tried the negative sensitivity lines...lol....and now everything else in the game is reversed. In the menu alone it was hard enough clicking start because the mouse was reversed. But it did however fixed the F2 view, but now the cockpit view is reversed lol. Setting the Invert=1 does sortof help. However in the cockpit the x-axis view is reversed while the F2 view's x-axis is fixed. I was wondering...how many variables can i plug into the invert=? Like if i plug in 2,3,4,5...etc would that effect the game in a bad way. I don't really know too much about this game coding stuff.

Edit: i also found this in the file mouseUse=2...is that suppose to be 2?

'Invert=' seems to only accept 0 or 1.

Invalid numbers are normally ignored or reversed to default or closest valid value upon game launch.

'MouseUse=0' Disables use of mouse altogther in game.

'MouseUse=1' Uses desktop mousecursor and mouserange.(No idea if that is a technically correct description)

'MouseUse=2' Is the default setting.

Maybe you are used to different mouse axis settings in other games/sims.

lol i'm crazy but I'm not that crazy. The F2 view is really reversed and it is invert=0. Reverse as in if i move my mouse to the left, the external view will move to the right side of the plane. Moving up will make me look at the bottom of the aircraft. And no i don't drink or smoke weed lol http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif So how does your external view react?

That's how it works on mine.

You see, you're not tilting the view, but rather moving the camera. Since the view is locked on the plane, moving the camera left makes the view shift right, and vice versa.

Ah. I understand now...that is the way it works...and should work.

Mouse axis works exactly the same in F1 and F2 views.
