After downloading 4.01m, my first impression was I had crazy joystick control over the aircraft. My joystick settings were Oleg's original recommendations. I re-set the joystick settings to default...and think...just maybe...that I have better control now. Am I psyched-out or do you guys have a better idea?

What do U feel is the problem?

No problem, F19_Ob, just curious as to what some of the "Aces" are using for their joystick settings. There was a time when Oleg's settings were being used by a lot of this forum. I wonder if 4.01m changed their thinking since the flight model of the sim has changed.

I know the pitch and yaw axis are much, much more sensitive with 4.01. I had to turn my joystick rates down quite a bit, at least in the beginning part of the throw.

I think you have two choices here:
1. Change the sensitivity on the stick to one you like.
2. Keep the settings on the joystick and learn to fly with it.

I´m going for the second for this time. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I like the settings I have...

Pitch/roll/yaw all set to 100.

all mine are much lower at first couple sliders, I think 30 is the number. rudder likes to fish tail wobble, so I turned that down and it's better too. I was way up around 60 at first slider.

With 4.01 I had to remove dead zones from pitch, and apply some filtering. Now, it´s much more responsive. Before those changes, I felt pitch to be too jercky.
One more thing, with the new patch, I find myself playing a lot more with trim than before, in order to compensate acceleration and deceleration.
