Has anyone else seen enemy trains take evasive action, turn off the track & start cruising along the river bank? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

I was flying a mission the other day and saw this...I just had to take a screenie as I destroyed it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/354.gif

LOL never seen that before. Of course I've only blown up 2 trains in my entire FB career!

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I think that's probably a bug. I don't think a train could do that and it doesn't make sense anyway. It is funny.

I am going to post it to ORR, but I thought a few people might like to see it first.

I think it may be a DGen bug from BoE, but who knows. I have never seen anything like it before, and I have trashed alot of trains on the Ardennes map.

Maybe we should start a BoE bug thread or if it is really supported by Oleg & crew, they might even put up a Starshoy's Ready Room too. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

It's simple.

The Resistance left a sou on the tracks. The train hit it, jumped the tracks, and was headed right toward the river as planned. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You may be right, because as you can see if you look close, the bridge was taken out between the 1st & 2nd pic. My rockets hit the train, so who blew up the bridge???

In the .mis file the trains path is just a set of coordinates to go to on a map. I am pretty sure that whatever is used in the train AI to get from place to place is pretty easily confused about what route to take. The .mis file is supposed to only allow paths that will go along the railroad track graphics .. but there's nothing to stop the train making up its own mind about where it wants to go once it's in the game :>
