Hi all http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

WARNING: Some Brotherhood spoilers below.

In the last mission of the Da Vinci Disappearance we are presented with a visit to another Vault. Ezio and Leonardo find coordinates here, which Leonardo doesn't take to mean anything, and they leave.

However, through the wonders of modern science, we can find out where those coordinates point to.

This is the place:

A big hole in the earth in upstate New York (not New York City), and as you may remember, on the completed Codex map there was an Assassin Symbol there indicating the prescence of a tomb.

Now, there is very little info about the hole readily available (apparantly American scientists are very much interested in examining sand dunes, but a big hole in the earth doesn't pique their interest?), but my friend and I did some research and we did find out something interesting.

The town near the hole is called Turin. Nothing special about that, until we found out that there's also an Italian place called Turin. Now this is where it gets interesting.

Turin, Italy is known for the Shroud of Turin, which is kept there in the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. It is said to be the burial shroud of Jesus Christ.

Why is this significant? One of the Pieces of Eden is the Shroud. The Shroud of Turin, in other words.

My guess is that another Vault, and perhaps by extension the Shroud might be hidden in or near the huge hole in the ground, and that this is what the Assassins and/or Templars are hunting for.

It seems to me to be too big of a coincidence to not be part of the story.

Any thoughts on this?
