I draw to your attention that with all the bickering of the new patch, there is a community that never whinges.

The P-40 Community are avid lovers of their planes, flying them with much affection and tenacity (I love that word hehe). Through all the patches whilst the performance of other planes has been tweaked to satisfy many a whinger, P-40 flyers never do. They love the challenge and their plane. We never request for more varients of the like, even though production totalled over 14000 and resulted in many varients past the famous 'E' stage.

Indeed we still cop a lot of flack from the community about the inability of the P-40 compared to other planes. Despite the Records of the AVG, New Zealand Airforce, 325th FG in Italy, RAAF's ruggedness in Africa, and such famous occasions as the Palm Sunday Massacre.

Perhaps it's because were in it for the challenge of the plane. A vast difference from What many in the communities beleive their plane should be - hence becomming blinded, and in some cases producing really horrible attitudes

So perhaps some should consider a change of attitude. That while there are some obscene attitudes taken around here, you make the rest of us not want to partake on these boards.

P-40's forever!

Allied I fly P40 and 47 when I can... DE I'm a diehard 109 jock. You are correct though P40 pilots never really complain much

I guess it goes back to the old

does Volvo really make safer cars or are volvo drivers just safer drivers ? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gifI have complained that the H81A-2 that we have in AVG markings isn't accurately modelled in regards to engine output on occasion http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

Yeah - but technically - thats a Hawk 81A-2

and not a Curtiss P-40...

And I agree 100% that it needs more power to match the real McCoy

All this patch whining... UBI should take note that the people who value this game enough to be currently entertained by it and patiently awaiting the right patch instead of the right now patch also happen to be the ones who actually purchased a legal copy of the game.

I've seen a good sample of patch whiners that I've learned pirate the game yet I see nobody who pirates the game asking for the right patch instead of the right now patch. Please pay attention to the like, paying customers, not the whining ones!

A true ~S~ to you Chunders http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
Agree with you 100%....but we could do with a P-40N, being the most widely produced model... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yup, non-whining RAAF jocks deserve the P-40N as a special reward. Be sure!

Yep, P-40 N would be great - Kiwis used a lot of them in the Pacific.

Yea. Big deal. I'm Cobra lover and I have never whine about it, nor did I see anyone in the near past that was did that awful job. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Also I haven't whine much about Bf109G (if at all, but I cannot tell for sure because of my bad memory http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif).

Those two are aircraft that have occupied me the most so far.

A very small commmunity for sure. However .50cal debate also concerns it.There were two P40 roll rate threads and about 20 dive explosion threads.

Other reason for few whines is relatively rare appearance of it in coops.

P39 had almost as many whine threads as Me09G6early before AEP.Many of them.
