It was the first one I encountered. I watched it in my periscope, considered attacking it...but decided to let it pass. My conscious got the better of me! I thought it would just make me a murderer! I have no problem dropping cargo ships for the Fatherland...but a passenger liner seemed to cold blooded. I come on this website, and see how everyone is plugging them! The next one I see is DONE!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

The Allies do not care when they drop bombs on our citys, so why should we care about a passenger liner?.

They use them for troop transport so if you see them shoot a fish or 2 in them. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

That's thing when I see fishing boat...wonder if it should be machinegunned or leave it alone. If SH3 give renown for "destroy spy on fishing boat" then maybe I will do

Passenger liners in convoys were definately used for military purposes, either carrying troops or large amounts of supplies. Lone passenger liners I would probably let go, but also realize passenger liners that were actually passenger liners often carried small amounts of supplies for the war, so you could consider them viable targets.

You're trying to starve Britain to its knees not challenge it to a gentlmanly duel. Sink those Tommy with a vengence.

Neutrals or hospital ships where well lit up anyway. If it has its lights out or is in a convoy SINK IT!

Saw a passenger liner the other night later in the years in a small convoy. It had like 12 guns on it, it was obviously not for cruising so I sank it.

Sure felt good to!

Anything that uses countermeasures, is viable target according to german interpretation of "prize rules". These include, but are not limited to: moving in conwoy, zig-zaging, darkening at night.

I was thinking to myself one day about how liners could soak so many torps (always took me 5 or 6 to down one) when I thought about the fact that everything sits lower. The engines, fuel, etc are as low as possible so they can have more rooms and accomodations etc... so next liner I set my torps about a meter above it's keel. Two torps and it was on the bottom wondering what Viking magic I hit them with.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif, did the same a couple of days ago, encountered a really big convoy and was fully loaded and fresh and started to have a go at it in my VII, after awhile me, my crew, and my boat felt like Rocky after round 10, soooo tired, 3 torps left, and a few HE shells, sure 20000 tons would taste nice, but I lost confidence cause of the discussion on this board, I was afraid using the 3 just to have the passenger liner not sinking, so I sunk 2 more C2 and two more small ships instead....... then sailing home, looking back, bye bye passenger liner, the nice weather and the nice sunset made me feel better ...... it was a short patrol, straight put, out of ammo, straight in.

Man., I sink anything that isn't German. I even sink the Norweigan ships that are neutral at the beginning. Who gives a #### it's all tonnage.

The little people in the fishing boat won't be catching fish. They'll be catching my 8.8cm shells instead.

When you sink neutral ships, you lose renown instead of gaining it. If you sink to many, you can return to base with 0 renown for your patrol.
