View Full Version : Install fails on merged PF installation

Help! I've been playing IL2/FB/AEP/PF since the beginning and recently purchased a second license so my son and I can play cooperatively. When I install FB, then AEP then PF, PF tries to uninstall instead of installing. I've let it uninstall, then nothing works. I've removed FB/AEP and cleaned the directories and reinstalled in the correct order. PF wants to uninstall instead of installing. I've searched the registry for settings and removed anything I found, but I cannot get past the PF wanting to undo the FB/AEP install instead of installing merged. I've done the whole uninstall/install sequence 4 times now with no luck. Does anyone know where PF is looking in the registry to see if it is already installed?

I had the whole FB/AEP/PF merged installation working well on this machine in the past, but when I tried to run it with the new CD, the install became corrupted. Now, I cannot get the install to work at all for PF. Are there different versions out there that are just not compatible?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You could try a manual uninstall. Two sources

That was exactly what I was looking for. The install worked well this time around. I'd spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to ferret that setting out of the registry. You have no idea how many reg keys have a PF in them.
