View Full Version : Assassins Creed potential sequal in central london - could it work

I was just thinking of locations assassins creed could move to in potential sequels, and aside from the obvious fact that it would be hard to find people who they could use as targets in the game. I started thinking central London would be an amazing setting for a game like Assassins Creed.

Think about it, there's loads of classical scenery and all that, there would be big grand buildings to climb with beautiful architecture which makes it perfect for handholds etc. and jumping from building to building in central London would be pretty fun, in fact im sure they made a free running documentary where they did just that, something I think would work really well in a game.

And yeah there's loads of he buildings, Nelsons column, Big Ben even the London eye that could be used for amazing leaps of faith, and let's not forget the Thames.

While the Thames would be a bit of a problem design wise, it would be amazing to jump from bridge to bridge from some of the closer bridges (like Victoria bridge and then the train bridge right next to it) and watching as the less athletic guards (police!??) fall into the Thames below infact if you could run along the wiring at the top of the bridge that would be pretty cool.

Personally I reckon it would be a pretty amazing place to set Assassins Creed in except the obvious disadvantages
- depends when the games set
- Who would you assassinate in central London?
- Thames in the middle whilst adding to gameplay would also just be a big gap in rooftops (unless you could jump from boat to boat frogger style http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif!)
- Modern day police forces would be much harder to dodge than guards from the olden days.

But if the designers decide to take a modern approach to Assassins Creed in the next game, I think London will all its contempory architecture and modern high rise buildings would make for a perfect setting.

soooooo, whyd you make a new thread for this??

theres already one for future possibilities of AC, and it's VERY close to the top of the list...

any way, i think it would be best if it went to jerusalem and damascus...and acre!!!

yeah...that would be awsome...

Because no one outside the UK gives a damn about London. I know I certainly don't want to play in London.

In that way of thinking we could probably all make a similar thread.

I'll fire it up with a "next AC should be in Amsterdam" thread.

O wait, no I won't.

i wouldnt know, never been to amsterdam, but out of all the european cities ive been to london is my favorite choice for a assassins creed setting

closely followed by copenhagen (simply cos of all the beutifull women http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif)

but yeah, im not going to make a thread assassins creed should be set in (place city name here) because not many cities would work for an assassins creed game

oh and by the way i thaught my post out and even gave a list of disadvantages, youde better do that yourself before spamming the forums up http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Yea, that would probably be pretty cool to jump off of Big Ben. I'm down with London being the setting for the next game.

well, we had jump london so the parkour side is covered and i'm sure that ubi could come up with some people to assassinate (though for legal reasons i doubt it'll be any major politicians lol)

I think london could work, with the many buildings and beautiful architecture like you said. The leap of faith off of big ben would be amazing, i can just imagine (but what would break your fall? not a wagon full of hay, lol). and also, i don't think the modern day police forces would not be much of a disadvantage. It would make the game harder and more fun.

so i would say good idea! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif And the alternative for the wagon of hay could be a dumpster http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yeah that's the annoying thing I WANT TO KILL TONY BLAIR AND GEORGE BUSH!(if they visited london for a press conference about their latest ideas and blah blah blah........)

The bridges in london would make spectacular escape routes, imagine it, the police are tailing you and you simply climb to the top of the bridge while they go along it searching for you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

London sounds good, but I think it should take place in either 14th century or the 18 century. Then your knives could be replaced with flintlocks http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif. Does anyone else think a sequel should take place during the Scottish-English Wars?

I thought that that might be kinda cool. Maybe it would go to another one of his/her ancestors some years after Altair died. Jumping off of Big ben would be sweet (Drool). http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

PS: DOGSKIN - I don't think that you are, but not all Americans think like that. You don't think that other countries stereotype? You just stereotyped us about us stereotyping! Haha! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Yeah, we Americans may seem bad, but it's our President that projects that image.

And yes, jumping off of Big Ben right as it ticks 12 o'clock... awesome.

I think in the sequal of AC you haven't to kill key guys. I think in the sequel you have to stop the assassins in the future

And Ill get started on San Fran, now that would be kickass, jumping off of the golden gate, lol. Untill you hit the cement, because honestly unless there is an Amish perade I highly doubt there will be any wagons filled with hay :[

It was such a good idea too, damn you nonexistent amish!
