How do I take screenshots? and what folder will it be in?

Pressing the printscreen button on your keyboard will save a screenshot in .TGA format in the root directory of your IL2 installation. They will be serially numbered. Be sure to save the ones you want after each play session, as they will be overwritten by the next screenshots you take when you next start the game.

For more control over saving screenshots, Google for FRAPS and get the free version, which will also do benchmarking and show frames per second overlays.

use the printscreen button on your keyboard.

To locate your screenshots you need to look in the default IL2/Pacific fighter folder - the image will be displayed like so : grab001

You will also need (if you do not already have one) a viewing program that will allow you to open files in a .tga format. I use Ulead Photo Express, but there are some free ones out there. If someone could link him up that knows of one?

Here's a link to irFanView, and excellent and free image viewer:

You can re-size pic's and change them from *.tga to *.jpeg, *.bmp or several other formats.

(i use Firehand Ember which I love but does cost $)
