With Pacific Fighters on the horizon, we are re-evaluating our current planes lists and trying to decide which planes we are going to use in our PTO server. With so many versions of each plane, its tough to decide on one. So we put up some polls on our forums for you all to come in and vote for you favorite rides. The more votes we get, the more likely we will be able to put in what most are looking for. So please, stop by and vote in the various threads.

We will also be needing some help in the map making department. I have a pretty strict set of requirements for missions on the server. I know this turns a lot of map makers off, but it is done for the sake of server stability and playability with a large number of planes in the air. If you are interested in making missions for any of the server, drop me an email and i will forward you the list. I will be finalizing the list in the next few days.

As I am sure most of you noticed, Swiss and I are pretty crappy web page makers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif . If anyone would be interested in jazzin up our website, that would be appreciated as well. Again send me an email if you are interested in this as well.

Since the Eastern Front server is pretty much a dud, we will be revamping it soon as well. Here is what we have planned for our three servers.

War_Clouds_WF: Western Front late war server. It will remain as it is now for the most part, aside from some planeset tweaking when PF comes out.

War_Clouds_PTO: Pacific late war server. When PF comes out, we will be redoing the planesets and missions on this server.

War_Clouds_EW: This is going to be an early war server. WIll probably rotate thru Historic matchups in the PTO and WF. Planesets will be '43 and earlier.

Email info and forums can be found at www.war-clouds.net (http://www.war-clouds.net) .

Always enjoy the servers. Any chance for a few more PTO maps?

There will be more PTO maps when:

1. Either Swiss or myself get time to make some more

2. We find some people to help making more maps.

3. When PF is released.

Make making is a time consuming process. Finding the time to do them is not easy.

Just make them historical, or at the very least same year or two match ups.

Luv the server as you already know.

Full realism and maps where as I can fly my G.50 in would be nice.

I cannot stands servers where enemy icons can be see miles away and mini-maps that display all planes where abouts.

Early war populated with Cr@pplanes please..... these days all servers seem to host late war maps only

i think the important thing is to have equal planes for the sake of the fun

or at least planes from the same period i dont like seeing a p 40 and a p51 in the same server

p40 against g6 is not fun for either person

But it is so satisfying shooting down late war planes in early war planes and i believe it helps to promote teamwork...i usually get help when i'm in my Hurricane and she did fly throughout the whole war...But i suppose it boils down to what does Warclouds-WF want to represent

Hey Sparx!

I remember you mentioning this on comms the other night.

Anyway, I voted on your forum and I encourage others that are interested to do the same.

It would be more helpful if you all would just goto the Warclouds website and vote in the forums. That way i have all the info in one place when we go to start making maps for all these servers.

Havent gotten many repsonses for helping making missions. Anyone that can use FMB and flys the server a lot, jump up and help us out. Just 2 of us and 3 servers, getting hard to keep missions fresh.

For those that have responded already, i will be sending out some info to you guys in the next few days. Just need to put the finishing touches on a few docs before i mail them out. Thanks again.

Wings, a minimum of (but not limited to) one engine and at least one weapon. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

1942-43 with 190 A-4's and 5's (maybe A6's too) against P-39 N1, La5(non-fn). Throw in some IL2's and Stukas and you have my definition of fun.

Please just try to keep the matchup somewhat historical though.

Anyone interested in making missions for the servers, you can download a mission making package here:

www.vfs-22.net/war-clouds_mission_tutorial.zip (http://www.vfs-22.net/war-clouds_mission_tutorial.zip)

It contains a text file with the requirements i have for maps and some maps i have built as examples.
