Hi All,

Sorry if this has been posted before, but just found this on youtube : video of the excavation of a Dora in Belgium. Engine seems to be in pretty good shape.

I hadn't seen it before. Amazing how deep into the ground it went without disintegrating.

I kinda understood white 3, is that the name of the plane? I wanna read up more

Yes its about white 3. The german was shot by a polish spitfire pilot. It happened on New Years day '45.
Boy who visited the site was grandson of german pilot.
Some guy of that team is building a Fw 190 and uses parts of the machine they dug up. (main parts where constructed in germany).
Sounds pretty cool!

Well, maybe it didn't go that deep. It's possible it got buried deeper afterwards, due to sedimentation, movements of terrain, and so.
