So I took 10 grand out of the kid's college fund and ran to the local auto mall to find one!

I found out Pontiac makes it. It's called the G6.

What a gyp. Doesn't even have a nose cannon!! So I kicked the salesman in the nuts and walked home.

I wonder how it would perform in a modern crash-test. But it's cute - nice pics! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Messerschmitt makes helicopters nowadays, I can think of at least one, the MBB (Messerschmitt B├┬Âlkow Blohm) Bo 105.

By the way, that's Blohm as in Blohm & Voss (BV), a shipyard nowadays but military aircraft manufacturer during WWII.

Remember that WTF BV-141?

MBB are owned by EADS (Airbus, Ariane rockets etc.) and haven't made a helicopter for years now. Blohm and Voss have always been a ship yard and still are yes they made aircraft but they are first and formost a shipyard, they built the Bismarck (the WWII Battleship)and now primarily make military ships for the overseas market. Last time I visited them they were making stealh frigates for the South African and Malaysian navies. Cool futuristic looking ships with jet drives instead of standard screws.

I thought that G6 wouldn't be to great on corners, but then I noticed that it's deployed its roof flaps, must be a bend out of shot.

BMW offering these cars in the 50's they have a one-cylinder BMW motorcycle engine with a 4-speed transmission. The top speed is 53 mph, and it gets 63 miles per gallon.

In 1958 you could buy one for $1,093.

Heinkel was making cars as well as scooters, his car looks remarkably like the BMW, only the hinged steering was BMW patented so the Heinkel had a more difficult entry.

I've found an old Heinkel cast aluminium emblem once from a Heinkel 103 Scooter, it still has the winged "H" Heinkel used as a trademark during WWII and before.

Ooops, my mistake, I wasnÔ┬┤t sure about that, even though I spent 17 years living in Hamburg, where B&V use a biiiiiiig part of the port.

It should be classed as a motorbike/sidecar combination, I think...

My lecturer was talking a few weeks ago about putting modern high-powered superbike engines into the Reliant Kitten.
http://www.northmead.co.uk/classic_cars/reliant_kittens/kitten8.jpg (http://www.northmead.co.uk/classic_cars/reliant_kittens.htm)

The result: A fibreglass matchbox that can outpace the Subaru at the traffic lights...

And then he spoiled the story by telling us that we were to design a reversing gearbox for these conversions, as a paper exercise.

...And that's because both the Heinkel and BMW were licensed Italian ISO bubblecars, hence the "Isetta" moniker.

Sure Skarphol, the pilot is ├┼żorsteinn Elton 'Tony' J├┬│nsson, the only icelandic WWII fighter ace. The other guy is a mechanic from his squadron, unfortunatly I dont know his name. For more info on Tony's career in the RAF check this webpage:
