View Full Version : Track IR

God I love it once you find the right profile it works like a charm. But is there a way to use gun sight view without interference with your head movement. I think WWII online is like that once you go to gun sight view it stays still.

Well.. there are few ways to do it. Turn your TIR off after u enter gunsight view. Or if you have programable joystick you can make a makro to turn it on and off. The best way is to make a small deadzone in the profile so it will not react to very small movements of your head.

Hot key the toggle on your TIR and switch it on/off as needed. I tried this for awhile, but find with a little practice that just leaving it on is easier overall.

That´s the problem I have too.I turned to a mediocre tracker to a ace tracker and from a not so bad gunner so a first born noob http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.
It´s hilarous when I´m diveing at a target and try to pull up with my head movment. But I guess it will be better over time.Still got the thumb reflexes to move my view with POV hat,but it´s slowly start to fade away.

It does take a bit of time to get used to but after you do you will not fly without it.
I still also go for the hat switch from time to time old habits are hard to break but have yet to remove the hat settings for the times that I may turn off the TIR as in the case above.

You will get used to it. I run mine linear now and have for some time. I still use hat for views but I set it up for zoom(gunsite view) normal view, wide view, and shift F1 view.

Yes, like T_O_A_D said, and Falkenstein said ... you'll get used to it (Just tonight I shot up some Russian vehicles using Me110, with it's bk0.37 (or what'sitscalled, it's big gun) using that zoomed view ... works like a charm ...)

@T_O_A_D: me really thought me had an original idea to put them zoom/normal/wide view on the HAT .... Me was thinkin': "this is my idea, I will not share it with anyone ... my secret ... my advantage http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif" Too bad! Someone found out! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Have Fun!

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif I thought it was bloody obvious to leave some sort of view on it, our thumbs were already trained to use it for views hehehehe

Just make points 0 thru 5 Zero speed in the tracking tab. Gives you a nice deadzone so minor head movement won't mess up your gunnery. Do have recenter on a easy to reach key though. Its very hard to make a human being sit COMPLETELY still even if their willing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

With a Tracker it's like Walter Concrite always said.... "You are there."

Sorry Walt if I've spelt your name wrong. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Oh I might mention that I use VAC to voice activate some of the oddball things. Like Center view. I have a button I push on my x-45 throttle then speak the words Center View and whala.
