Having just trawled all the electronic stores in Akhiabara and Shinjuku, Tokyo as well as Sofmap and Best Enki in Kyoto, Osaka, ***ouka and Kumamoto http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif i can now state firmly that i cant find hide nor hair of any 1C flight sims in Japan. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

In the name of all that is sacred WHY? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Surely Japan would be one of the biggest markets for this sim. After all the Japanese even have a word for those people obssesed with the exacting details of things mechanical or pop culture.

The detail, the modelling the theater all speak to something that the JApanese are odsessed with.

Cousin Billy's flight sims are EVERYWHERE, CFS1, 2 and 3 as well as the FS serise. The only 1c product I found was in a bargin bin at an import electronics store.

WHY, oh WHY Ubi??

Your products are all over Japan, so why not PF??

Send me a PT, I live in Japan, and maybe I can help. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I agree, though. I know of some J guys who fly nothing but CFS 2 because of the ability of flying J planes. I bet there's a big, untapped market.

Most of the Japanese player buy it through online stores and very few people actually buy it in stores.
Why won't you do the same?

Some past bad experiance of mine ( as well as those of some mates) have somewhat soured me from making purchases online.

Still, it is a good option, even if i'm a little reluctant to use it.

Anyone got any ideas what is the most reliable and secure online site to use?

Any help is much appreciated, i'm not much chop at the whole internet thing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif The only other option is to try the PX at some of the local USAF and US Army bases in my area (Kyushu).

Do you read Japanese?
If you can, try here.
It's quite famous and popular so I'm pretty sure it's safe.

Hey Imp Star - I sympathise (I'm in Kobe) I too checked all over the pplace and managed only to find the original for a mere Y7000!!!!
But i was lucky enough to be the benefactor of a P-47-driver on this site who helped me out and ordered it for me.

Hey sapre, thanks for the webaddress. One question, are the games and manuals in Japanese? I can read some Japanese but wasn't clear from the website about this point. It seemed that Pac Fighters is the Australian version, right? With an English manual?
If it's an easy, shooter game I cn manage the Japanese version(my Call of Duty is Japanese) but for something like PF I need English.
Anyway, arigato, ne!

There is no Japanese version of PF, although some Japanese simmer that can't understand english is crying for it.
So there's only english version in Japan.
