This is just an item on the top of my wish list. I've always enjoyed cross-country flying in full real, and in dog fight servers the radio compass, or non directional beacon always points down into a corner of the map.

I think it would be cool it we could place beacons in thw FMB on the map like an object, one for each team.

Another idea I had was to simulate the navigation radio used by the Germans were they used several radio stations with diferant frequncies to guide their formations to their target. I believe the British and Amaricans had a simular system.
IL2 has sparked more interest in the Eastern Front. Perhaps some one knows how the Russians navigated and can give a good description for me.

Mabey I'm just an old flight sim junkie, but some more detailed navigational aids would be really fun.

~salute.
