ButtKicker Gamer w $50 Rebate (http://dealnews.com/deals/Butt-Kicker-BK-GR-Gamer-for-50-shipped-after-rebate/128736.html)

This must be purchased by 8/31 and postmarked within 30 days to be honored.. I took a chance and ordered one the other night.... with the 2 day shipping it came to $114 ... (Actually the price was Not $99 as advertised but $89 once you go to checkout.. even better! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) still though with a $50 rebate that is $64. The decvice hooks up to the bottom of your chair and your subwooffer and translates the bass tones into force... I figured Id give it a go. Havent gotten it yet.. but I know someone who has one on his home theater and he thinks it's great. I figure since I dont use the gun forces on my FFB because it will drop the profile when I winkey to the desktop and return.. this will help me to get a bit more immersion.

Don't Just Take Our Word for it, See What the Reviewer's are saying about the ButtKicker Gamer:

"Even my THX sound system cannot duplicate the experience."

"Honestly, it made the game brand new again."

€œ€¦the gaming experience was truly enhanced by the presence of the ButtKicker Gamer.€

€œThe ButtKicker is an absolutely indispensable addition to the€¦headphones that most of us have.€

€œThe bass reproduction is dead on accurate€

For workplace or home, the ButtKicker Gamer easily attaches to most standard center post office chairs. Feel the low end without making the room loud. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass you want. Experience powerful bass even while using headphones. Ideal for apartment or dormitory use.

The ButtKicker Gamer, a smaller, consumer version of the popular ButtKicker transducers used by Disney, IMAX, The Rolling Stones, Green Day, Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Usher and Los Lonely Boys --- easily attaches to office chairs, making video gaming, computer entertainment and digital music come to life. PC and video games, movies and music have never been so realistic --- or intense.

The ButtKicker Gamer allows the user to feel explosions, crashes and impacts without cranking the sound. Low frequency (bass) is transferred directly into the bodies of the listener, providing a powerful virtual reality experience. The ButtKicker Gamer works with all gaming systems, XBOX, PlayStation 2 and GameCube, and answers the need for both accurate low frequency response and maximum tactile effect.

The ButtKicker Gamer is also excellent with MP3 players, and is ideal for dorm rooms, office cubicles and gaming centers.

Thank you so much for posting this Bearcat. I have friend who has been deaf since birth and have been looking around for a bargain on one of these. He's going to be so happy to at least have a chance when he starts taking MG fire from the sixer.

I just got it today!!! I havent had the chance to hook it up yet.... but the thing is.. in order to get the rebate you must purchase it by 8/31.. which is tomorrow. Your recipt must be dated between 7/16 I think it was and 8/31... after that you will be paying $89 and $64 beats $89 any day in my book. I will hook it up after I get back from band practice and my son's football practice, provided I dont get any after hours calls tonight as I have the AH duty this week on the JOB... but I decided to get it after reading up on it.. and plus 99th_Obsidian has the ButtKicker for his home theater... and he said it was great. If you are really interested in getting it I suggest you order it tonight.... recipts have to be dated by 8/31... plus they may take the rebate form off the site. This way if you get it and dont like it you can always send it back.. and get your money back..... but if you LOVE it... then you can get that rebate!! I am looking at it and I think Im gonna love it!!!

What a Nymphomaniac? LOL... No thanks... I am on a restricted diet. I just look at the menu.. but I always eat at home.

Someone at SHQ said they also offered free shipping.... but there is a catch to that. You have to spend $75 to join the program.... AFAIC even at $64.. which is what it will cost me after the rebate.... it beats the full price of $149 by a mile.. and if I dont like it I will just send it back.. but I think it will be just another immersion tool. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

I think you should keep at it. I read one review where a flight sim player said that it really added something to the game. There was also a post here by someone who suggested it was pretty darn good.

Yep, and for less also. The problem is, no matter how hard I try, I can't synchronize my kicks with the sound. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Anyways, did you manage to make that thing work?

Bear,
I had the same problem as you when I first hooked it up. Sound but nothing out of the Buttkicker. The instructions that came with the thing were not well written.
Follow my steps in my reply to your other post and see if that works:
