View Full Version : Cannot complete the game because of one single item!

I've been playing for about 9+ days now ( 12+ hours a day ) and i've tackled ALOT of Borgia Messengers and killed ALOT of Bandits and still no sign of any Aconite.

Everything else is done in this game except for the Doctor Shop Quest.

I have never played a game that couldn't be completed 100% because of a single item that may or may not spawn.
I am aware that Aconite is rare but C'mon, this is ridiculous and no, i haven't sold it by mistake since i haven't sold a single tade item at all ( not even nessesary with all the money you get in this game anyway ).

What really makes me angry is the fact that i've bought an expensive limited version of a game that i may not even be capable of completing 100% because of a single item which is out of my control to find since i've opend every chest in the game and haven't seen it in any Assassin's Quests either.

If finding the Aconite is based this much on sheer luck alone, then it is truly a game killer.

It's also ridiculous that there are only two shruken heads in the game which unfortunatly if you don't know this before you discover shop quests then you'll probebly sell them and lose the chance off 100% still. As for Aconite, I understand what you mean, I've still yet to find it as well :S

yeah, it really is based on luck, they should atleast make the contract mission items more frequent for items to rotate faster.
I'm sure it will turn up eventually, good luck! **fingers crossed**

Aconite.
What I did to get this was kill a Borgia courier then loot him...
It worked first try for me...
I wasn't wearing any incognito cape and I killed the courier near the thieves guild, just in case you want to duplicate exactly what I did...

I'm not wearing any incognito cape either ( i like to fight ).
As i wrote, i did tackle ALOT of messengers but i will try out your suggestion and look for him at the Thieves Guild ( I don't have any high hopes though )...

Huh?...

I was under the impression that if you tackle a messenger, you'll get a reward but no so if you kill him?

I seem to recall having read that several times here.

*Danger*... Confusion is eminent!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

If you kill him you will become notorious.
It's sort of a walk of faith. Do something bad to get something good...

I tackled the Borgia courier that spawns at your hideout island and got Aconite pretty fast. Like it only took me 3 tries. Killing and tackling don't make a difference. Just whatever is easier.

Then it seems that i have been extremly unlucky considering the large amount of messengers i've tackled thus far. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

This worked for me every time. You don't have to walk there this guy just says he's superstitious and it only works at night.

And I don't know where this only 2 shrunken heads in the game comes from. I pick up shrunken heads from these bandits often. Good luck, it is very exciting to see how often this technique works

Thank you and yes, i do know this video and i've been doing this ( besides the messengers ) for the past 5 days but haven't looted any Aconite at all ( haven't seen any Shrunken Heads from the bandits either ).

Got it. After all these days. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

As tyrce111 said, the Borgia courier at the Thieves Guild had it when i looted him.
I've caught this guy at the same place before but never found the Aconite until now.
Thank you for the tip! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
