I use my slideout keyboard drawer for my stick and throttle. Fortunately, my moniter leaves enough space on the desk proper for the keyboard.

In my early simming days, I used a lap tray for my Sidewinder Precision 2 and mouseball, but the twisty rudder had me constantly having to turn the stick straight just as I was lining up a shot.

This way (although I've graduated to pedals) the stick stays on a stable surface.

I've also entertained the idea of one of those adjustable rollaround desks for laptops...but I went cheap and got a set of 4 wood TV trays for about a third the price.

I use VELCRO...works like a charm for everything.....stick, rudder pedals, throttle, everything!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

RS_ArcAngel, I have a couple pics I'll post tomorrow showing the stand I made for my Cougar. Works great and it's sturdy too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Your X45 would work great on it, but you'd have to find some old military type shelving supports and cross pieces.

Mine is permanently mounted.

And it goes where ever I go.

Do you have an office chair? If so, PM me your email and we can talk about a possible solution. Look here for some good setups (I have 2 in there).

The bottom of the stick is actually designed for suckers, infact if you never got them with the stick, Saitek will provide them..........but to be honest and pun intended they suck you could use them to mpunt it, Personally i would make a strap up to go round whatever you are moning it on out of velcro as mentioned then use self adhesive velcro on the base to attach it with..

This is what I use. Not as fancy as a cockpit, but then again, I dont have a completely tolerant wife!

Wood could also be used, and if it's Delta wood, it would obviously be stronger than the steel I utilized! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
